Absolutely disgusting service after we asked for a candle to be lit, our friend had come out for the first time in 4 years after being in an abusive relationship. She asked for the candle on the table to be lit at 9.30 - it turned out to be a sabatage. We were accused of being drunk when in fact we had had 1 drink in the Tai with our meal after working all day in Bewdley our meal was at 7.30. We had not been drinking all day, then the manager said that we had been swearing, this was an absolute lie. The poor doorman came over after about 40 minutes to say we are not going to serve you again! Although we had called a taxi we had no intention to order another drink after how we had been treated. To be accused of being drunk and asked to leave has left us in disbelief. In my own town and having 2 businesses here is utterly disgraceful. The manager was abrupt, she showed no empathy and was as cold as a fish! I’ve no idea why she is managing this business as she has no people skills whatsoever! Never ever again will we be going back and I will ensure no one else goes in there! This place has gone downhill and was virtually empty on a Friday evening after the Christmas light switch on! What does this tell you! The tables were dirty and the bar staff were scowling at us.

We think to be honest that they all wanted to go home early and that we were all an inconvenience because they had clearly had a busy day and took it out on us. They did not want us to stay! The barman needs training properly and the blonde need sacking!!!!!! Terrible...

Came here at the weekend with my family and ordered 2 pizzas. The chef apologised saying the pizza was slightly burnt round the outside and offered us some chips as compensation so we thought fair enough. After biting into the pizza we realised that the whole base was BLACK not slightly burnt completely incinerated and I can’t believe he actually brought the food out like that. We called the chef over who was extremely apologetic and explained they had a new pizza oven but we asked for a refund as the other pizza we had wasn't nice - extremely salty and too much cheese but we ate that between four of us as we were starving. Managed to get a refund on ONE of the pizzas but unfortunately that night my mother who has coeliac disease was extremely unwell. We were told the pizza was gluten free and that he made his own bases but that is the only thing she ate out that day. When handling people with allergies you need to be extremely careful as this then ruined the whole night for us. We had plans that she could not attend due to projectile vomiting and stomach ache. My mom has been diagnosed with this disease for over 20 years and since the diagnosis has never had a problem eating out until here. We have actually kept part of the pizza to see if it is gluten free. Will not be returning and are so disappointed as we have used this pub before just for drinks also the guy behind the bar is rude and the place looked pretty run down. Gone So far downhill - We wont ever return anydayt soon ! Visited this pub a few years ago - yes - pre covid - but Guys - no excuses - Was quite vibrant and very quirky with some strange light shows and funky music in the loos - and the bar was quite exciting even a model train running around the bar and celling area.

we made a special "out of our way" effort to re-visit last week - only to find that the place had fallen apart - virtually empty ! Sky High Bar Prices !!! come one owners - !! you cant price your way out of a problem = it just makes matters wose FFS - A beer and 2 medium wines for 20 Quid !!!!! REALLY ??
