This is the second time that I have eaten here when my work takes me to the Wyre Forest area. Lucy's Cafe is situated on the edge of the local town centre. I was keen to see if Lucy's Cafe was as good as my first visit over 6 months ago.
I arrived on a quiet but sunny morning and ordered the full English breakfast and a cup of tea.
The tea was Clipper Organic tea and was delicious. The tastiest brand of tea in my opinion.
A hearty breakfast followed. This arrived with two generous doorsteps if freshly cut buttered toast. The bacon was perfectly cooked for me. Just enough crispness to give it some bite but still soft enough to chew.
The eggs, beans, tomatoes and sausages were delicious too.
I arrived just after Lucy opened so I was the first customer of the day.

There was no heating and they only had instant coffee. Items were missing off the food that we ordered and it seemed to be a miss mash of food to be used. 1 plum tinned tomato and half fresh tomato. The toast was thin sliced. Only had one sausage instead of 2 and the eggs were swimming in oil. Why didn't I ask for the other one. Tbh it was a cheap and low quality sausage. Read moreI visited Lucy's for breakfast as, just having arrived to visit family from Australia, I didn't get chance to shop the previous day.
I wanted to find a family run business instead of using the multi-national cafe chains or supermarket cafes.
Lucy's did not disappoint. The food was great quality and the service welcoming. I enjoyed simply refueling while soaking up the atmosphere and Yam Yam accent I miss so much.
