Great pub named after the Great Western railway which exists locally as the Severn valley railway, popular with it's regulars and visiting railway enthusiasts, local beers from bewdley brewery with great service and awesome pork pies. If you enjoy pub games there is a dart board upstairs.

Warm and welcoming pub with friendly staff and very dog friendly. Great selection of local ales and fab choice of cobs and snacks. Always warm and cosy and often has a fire in the winter. Lots of outdoor seating in the summer right next to the railway line for any train enthusiasts.

Would love to have this place as my local. Customer Service was top drawer, was cosy with the fires on and a nice laid back pub. Beer and cob hit the spot nicely. Hope to return in the near future.

Was made to feel very uncomfortable by 1 particular member of staff. She was a young lady with dark hair and tattoos if I remember. The pub was particularly busy on New Years Eve. I was looking for a table for our group. She was quite rude on more than one occasion. I went and stood outside as she made me feel unwelcome. I went back in and looked upstairs to see if a table had come free. I was at the top of the stairs when she spoke to me with a real attitude and scowl on her face. She said "can you move I need to come upstairs " as she said it she looked at a few customers and shook her head. I walked downstairs feeling so anxious and uncomfortable and walked outside. She really shouldn't be working in hospitality. We all sat outside. All the other staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. A real shame. Her actions...

A great atmosphere with well kept real ale and still cider. Bar staff are welcoming and friendly. A good range of locals and tourists. Does not offer cooked meals but ham/ cheese cobs, scotch eggs and pork pies go really well with the ambience and drinks on offer. Well behaved dogs and children are allowed. Reassuringly close to the Severn Valley Railway do that it can be included in a Railway pub crawl. Best to end at the Great Western otherwise you may not leave to go...

Popped in here for a pint as a large group when our train was cancelled on the SVR. The pub was lively but we found a large table upstairs and ordered several different of the local brews which they had on tap. Staff were friendly and welcoming to our fancy-dressed group and served us with a smile. Great value for great beers! Will be back in the future in more 'normal'...
