Was made to feel very uncomfortable by 1 particular member of staff. She was a young lady with dark hair and tattoos if I remember. The pub was particularly busy on New Years Eve. I was looking for a table for our group. She was quite rude on more than one occasion. I went and stood outside as she made me feel unwelcome. I went back in and looked upstairs to see if a table had come free. I was at the top of the stairs when she spoke to me with a real attitude and scowl on her face. She said "can you move I need to come upstairs " as she said it she looked at a few customers and shook her head. I walked downstairs feeling so anxious and uncomfortable and walked outside. She really shouldn't be working in hospitality. We all sat outside. All the other staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. A real shame. Her actions...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA great atmosphere with well kept real ale and still cider. Bar staff are welcoming and friendly. A good range of locals and tourists. Does not offer cooked meals but ham/ cheese cobs, scotch eggs and pork pies go really well with the ambience and drinks on offer. Well behaved dogs and children are allowed. Reassuringly close to the Severn Valley Railway do that it can be included in a Railway pub crawl. Best to end at the Great Western otherwise you may not leave to go...

The pub was lively but we found a large table upstairs and ordered several different of the local brews which they had on tap. Staff were friendly and welcoming to our fancy-dressed group and served us with a smile. Great value for great beers! Will be back in the future in more 'normal'...
