Rick's Simpson Avenue Saloon — Restaurant in Aberdeen

In my early 30s this was my bar. I learned to play GT golf here. Helen and Sally where my bartenders. That was 2000-2003. I moved back to Aberdeen in 2020 and again frequented Ricks. I moved away in 2021 but still stopped in whenever I came to town. Today I stopped in. The bartender told me she had not seen me on a long time and that she no longer worked there. I had actually heard that. I continued to sit there as she had not asked my drink order. She was not making drinks or helping others ... tried to get her attention. She continued to ignore me. After 8 minutes I got up and left. I have never done ANYTHING to anyone here. The only issue I ever had in Aberdeen was an abusive ex boyfriend. I won't return. Rick's is it pretty clean place is one of those places that has a clientele built from the local area around there I believe and there's also people that have just been going there for years it go there but seems to be a decent place I don't know if they have food I know the Services is great I have never had any trouble there they have a Fair selection of beer I'm not sure if they have hard liquor or not I didn't even look most what used to be taverns do you have hard liquor now the staff is pretty friendly and helpful it's better all I can say about the place they have a couple pool...

From the outside Rick's doesn't look like much but once you enter it's like entering a totally different place. There are the regular bar items like two pool tables, big screen TVs, an internet jukebox and pull tabs. What makes this place special are the customers and the bartenders.
