Braum's is a family tradition in my family dating back to the 70's when my brother and I would visit our grandparents in Del City, Oklahoma. Later when I became a parent, we would often load up and drive 100 miles to Wichita Falls to spend a day which culminated in eating at Braum's. It isn't just about great ice cream, good food, fine products, and the great values that define what Braum's represents, it is about making memories that last a lifetime.
Last year, I drove a car from Virginia to Amarillo, TX. I stopped for the night in OKC and hit the local Braum's. The next morning, I got up and went to get gas only to realize I didn't have my banking card. I drove to the Braum's where I had last used it. Sure enough, they had it waiting for me. Honesty and integrity goes a long way.
When they built the string of stores in Abilene, I was ecstatic when I read about it. Regularly I drop in and get a back of burgers, fries, and a shake. Occasionally a hot fudge Sunday or pop in and buy some chocolate milk. They are my favorite fast food place. I appreciate how they conduct their business and the quality of service and meals they serve their customers.
As quick as I am to give out a bad review, I am also just as quick to give out a good one. Braum's deserves my highest marks for all of the reasons I've listed. Thank you for putting businesses in Abilene. Thanks for the great memories your business has given me and my family. Two...
Read moreI went in on my lunch break Wednesday at about 1:00 PM. It was full, but not really busy at that time. I must have gotten there right after lunch rush because no one was in line and the dining room was packed. The cashier was a cashier. Not super excited about being there obviously, but not rude. I got the chicken finger meal. Nothing extraordinary, literally just normal skinny strips and normal crinkle fries just really salty. I didn't even finish it, but it wasn't super expensive, about $8 with a drink. I do like their Braums sauce though, that went well with the chicken. I can't really eat red meat, so I will have to take my husband there to try a burger out. I also want to try their ice cream, especially the soft serve since you really can't get it anywhere else in town, and know my two year old would enjoy the ice cream too, so I will be back with them. Also the drive through was empty, but I didn't have my card so had to go inside to use tap to pay. I got my food really quick too, like as soon as my payment went through i walked towards the soda machine and they called my order. I also think the little market inside is cute. Will def have to...
Read moreWe went to Braum’s, a new restaurant in Abilene Tx. We were excited because we have frequented the Braum’s in the Dallas area, and we finally got one in Abilene. Needless to say, at 8:30 pm, they were crowded, so we went through the drive thru, we were in the drive thru for 30 minutes, because of the line. Remember, Dallas Braum’s are worth the wait. We finally go to the window, we order a bag of burgers and a number 5 combo (bacon cheese burger). We paid extra for the bag of burgers to be “deluxe” ($6.70 to $13.00) and upsized th combo to large for an extra $4. The combo was supposed to have large fries, the were medium at best, and looked like they were the bottom of the barrel, crumbs, and very salty. The milkshake wasn’t mixed well, and you couldn’t suck it with a straw, and it had a hold in the cup. Apparently, the mixer knicked the side of the styrofoam cup, and it had remnants of styrofoam the shake. One of the burger buns was burnt . For an almost $30 bill, the experience was less than mediocre. We...
