If I could give 0 stars I would. Off the bat I felt like I was in the twilight zone. We seated ourselves because nobody did even though there is a sign that says, “Please Wait to be Seated.” I walked up to the counter to order. They had a buffet FULL of pizza and they were restocking the salad bar so I told the cashier we were all having the lunch buffet. She notified me the buffet was closed. They close at 1:30, it was 1:34. Seemed very strange since it was full and they were restocking. Anyway, I ordered 4 large pizzas, 4 orders of cheese sticks and waters for the table. We had 8 adults and 2 children. We waited 15 minutes, still no drinks. Waters never came so we got cups and waters from the beverage station ourselves. Finally our waitress came to the beverage station, started to fill up a pitcher of water and walked off. She left the pitcher under the water and it was overflowing for about a minute until a friend at our table got up and turned it off. She came back because she saw him behind the station. She then started bringing us room temperature water with no ice after we had already helped ourselves. It was us and another table only at the restaurant. We waited over an hour for our pizzas. We had to go to an event, so I asked the waitress to just make our order to go since it hadn’t come out yet. We were still waiting, pizza’s came up on the deck and a waitress took a pizza and starting eating it! At that point I was done. I had already paid for the meal so I was walking up to the counter to get a refund. The waitress that was eating the pizza told me they made one of our pizzas wrong so we could wait for it to be corrected or they would give us a “free” 2-liter bottle of Pepsi. I said “no”. Another waitress brought the pizzas to the counter, I was opening the boxes to see if it was correct. She grabbed a box and said she had boxed somebody else’s pizza. I asked her what was going on, she told me she didn’t know. I told her to refund me for the missing pizzas and that I was leaving. She told me she had to call her manager to do that. I asked her how long it would take she said she didn’t know because they weren’t there. I left my name and number and left. Still haven’t received a call for the refund so I will be checking my credit card statement. Food was good, service absolutely terrible. #1 most horrible restaurant...
Read moreSimple quick dinner after a long, hard week and not eating all day, turned into over an hour long saga! I RARELY complain, especially with food however this was/is simply ridiculous! Ordered two pizzas and fries for pickup. When brought home, both pizzas were wrong, one just had little on it and an extra ingredient the other completely different. Tried to call to make switch out easier when we went to get it fixed by calling the store but this was also ridiculous! Apparently cannot call a store directly, you get a hold of someone offsite that redirects you to store, however after repeatedly being hung up on at store level and being on hold for 15 minutes husband just heads to store to deal with it. This turns into another 30 minute wait AND the whole time I am still on hold. He finally comes home and I open yet another wrong order, although closer to original order than before, it is nearly raw! I had to bake the stupid thing myself in my own oven as I wasn’t about to head out and deal with this store AGAIN!! After shelling out nearly sixty bucks (yes, expensive but I build my own pizza and it is over 25 in itself as it is usually pretty awesome) I was beyond disappointed and disgusted! Expect a full refund as I finally had to pull a “Karen” and call the national number as nobody in store seemed to take a call seriously and I wasn’t even upset at this point as mistakes happen but this is just beyond wrong after the second go around! Get this store properly staffed, the skeleton crew is clearly overwhelmed especially on busy weekends! They deserve better and so do the customers shelling out their hard earned money on barely edible eats! Side note, fries were...
Read moreGreat place to go watch people get food poisoning from the salad bar and even if the toppings are safer to eat after going through the oven I have difficulty understanding why this Pizza Hut is still getting our business. If I had to go someplace for pizza here in Abilene I would pick Tossed and Sauced or Casey’s and if you’re hosting an event ask to use your church’s facility instead. Your group will thank you.
Don’t worry maybe the city will deem this Pizza Hut historical and add it to the “Old Abilene Town” tourism. Think about it. We can all go have our gatherings and maybe even sit at the old tables we used to and on special occasions we can order pizza from another place and eat it where we used to get food poisoning! With the support they have now we should be able to hire tour guides to take us back into the kitchen and marvel at the walk-in fridge where they used to “just slap another date on it” and the reach-in fridge where they used to “just slap another date on it” and we can keep the old freezer running too and keep the boxes of frozen dough in it and talk about how they were meant to be served but the place got shut down and the tour guide will say “who wants to try one of these pizzas now?” and we’ll all laugh and someone will yell “I’ll have one!” or “can I get a personal pan! I read like 6 books!” And we’ll all get something from the gift shop. I personally would like a refrigerator magnet that says “No One Out-FoodPoisons the Hut!” Before you leave don’t forget to get your picture with the infamous “Salad Bar”.
