ROSA'S CAFE ON JUDGE ELY doesn't even deserve 1 star review but I have to put one to be able to write my review. My husband, my kids and I got into Abilene after a long softball tournament weekend. We hadn't eaten so we were hungry and looking forward to a good meal. He wanted to take me out to eat for Mother's day so I chose Rosa's because their food never disappoints, their service is always spot on. We get there around 4ish and it is NOT busy at all, which I found suprising. I ordered the Fajita Fiesta family meal. The guy who took my order asked the manager Diego how long for the fajitas and he said 10 minute wait. We were fine with that so we ordered a queso supreme to be brought out first as an appetizer while waiting on our meal. I just walked to the fountain machine and the food was already ready. We sat and my husband took a bite into their stale chips. The queso was runny. He took it back and they replaced the chips. When we went to start eating the fajitas the skillet wasn't even steaming for something that was suppose to be a 10 minute wait. I could pick up the skillet with my bear hands. The beans were stiff. The only good thing was the tortillas. They were fresh and warm. Usually the fajita fiesta meal feeds my family of 4 but they were off on their portions. I know Rosa's has a limit on the amount of fajitas but that was way below the limit. The kids were only able to eat the fajitas, it only fed them. When I went to go ask to speak to a manager Diego went up there and I told him about the food. He said "Yes I fixed the chips" I said "I know you did but what about the runny queso, there being no jalepenos that come with the meal for the 2nd time I've come here, he explained that part which I understood. Can't do nothing about being out of stock on that but when I addressed the food and the service he said "I'm sorry about that" and just rushed me off in a way like. yeah ok I'm sorry now move from the counter. Then he had the nerve to tell me Happy Mother's day in a smart way as I was leaving the register. He didn't meant it, it was his way of acting like he tried. He just completely disregarded me and spoke to me like I was irrelevant and made me feel stupid. I told my husband and he called the main manager Mandy at the south Rosa's location and she quickly fixed the situation. It took for us to call her for Diego to change his whole demeanor. I WON'T BE back to that location. The managers there do not fix the problems, Diego in particular and Joanathan who was on his lunch break but heard our complaints as we sat right by his table and the other big guy manager. 3 managers and not one could fix anything. Waste...
Read moreMy whole order was wrong. I was pretty upset as me and my husband were looking forward to what I had ordered. We dealt with it and ate what we could of it though not much. I called the next day to speak with a manager and let them know our order was made wrong. The manager apologized and said they would replace the order to just write down his name on the receipt. We didn't even really want to eat it again but I guess. So we go down there and there's a different manager on shift I explain the fact that I talked with a manager earlier in the day and that our order is supposed to be remade. The manager says fine but he can't replace the order through the drive thru and I have to go in the restaurant. I was like fine I guess, I'm glad that I wasn't in my pj's or leggings at this point. I park and go in explain the situation to the cashier to which the manager comes out and says he'll replace everything. They call my order number and the lady that serves me says very fast and monotone "sorry about that, thank you" I grab my food and leave. 1 item was still wrong but I wasn't gonna deal with them again. The thing is when a restaurant makes your order wrong they should try to do everything in their power to correct it. Not make me have to tell my story to 5 different people each one having no clue. And make the customer have to be inconvenienced by having to go in the restaurant to get the order replaced that they made wrong in the first place and then give rude customer...
Read moreToday I tried to order lunch for me and my coworkers from rosa’s on judge Ely. I typically love this Rosa’s but today was an all around bad experience. The young lady at the window was great but definitely misunderstood my order. Which is fine that happens, but when I went back through the line to get it corrected, all three of the people with head sets on tried to tell me I was wrong at the same time through the intercom. Not only that, when I received my coworkers food it was just thrown in the bag, guacamole and cheese and shredded chicken all in the bag not on the tacos. The tacos were not even fully wrapped in foil. My food that they had to re make was nothing but burnt ends of the chicken. And of course they just threw that in the bag so beans leaked out. It was just not what should have happened. Then when I pulled up to the window and they could see how upset I was that’s when they wanted to do it correctly. Unfortunately I was on my break, I was already late getting back to work so I couldn’t wait again. I usually go here because they are good and fast. But today made me not want to go back at all. Considering the other options that are around I...
