Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Abilene

The man that worked this night shift at this particular location was the most impressive Subway sandwich maker I have ever seen in my life I told him I usually do not call and do surveys but I insisted on doing a survey on him I left him a $5 tip!!!! Was the only employee working and the spread of products that he makes the sandwiches out of was full everything was full everything was fresh just the way he handles my order I did not have to repeat anything I didn't have to ask him to give me more black olives or more banana peppers because at the beginning when I told him what I wanted I described it and said I would like roast beef with provolone cheese toasted if you don't mind I love olives I love onions and banana peppers and when he made it he did exactly what I said and he got an extra hand full or two of Olives I mean everything down to a t it just really was a different experience than any time I've ever ever been into a Subway store it was enough...

Oh Schlotzsky's... This is one of my favorite little train wrecks to visit in Abilene. I don't think I've ever had a perfect experience here, but dang it do they try! The people are genuinely trying to help, which commonly gets in their own way. The order is wrong 80% the time, and is usually something minor. When it is correct, it takes them 20+ minutes to make a few sandwiches. BUT! They are always apologetic, and the food is hot and delicious. I get the same thing every time, so I'm not so good with suggestions... The Albuquerque Turkey is one one the greatest food concoctions ever put in front of me. So me and my family went here a year ago, was helped by the same lady as today and last time 3 of our orders were wrong. Today we order and again 3 of our orders are wrong. It’s like they make the food with their eyes closed then don’t check if they did it right at all. Horrible service, only thing going for them is that the food is actually good once you make them fix their mistakes. It’s 11 in the morning and 2 tables inside and outside are filthy like they haven’t been cleaned in a week. Don’t come here, go to the other location.
