Summer Moon Coffee — Restaurant in Abilene

We stopped in for coffee as a first-time visit and while the cafe was clean & had a pleasant atmosphere, we cannot say the same about the customer service.

While making our coffee selection, we also opted to buy a bag of Summer Moon coffee beans for our home coffee bar. Summer Moon's coffee beans do not indicate whether they are 'single origin' or not, unlike many other popular choices of coffee beans on the market today, so we simply asked the cashier who was pleasant enough, but looked rather confused and asked one of the baristas working behind the counter. The barista stated "it says so right on the bag" and in a sarcastic tone, while she was clearly in the wrong. We showed the barista & the girl behind the cash register that the bag clearly does not state "single origin", hence the simple question.

We don't know what the barista had going on that day, but she was clearly having a bad day. Overall, I would rate their coffee a 6/10 and their customer service a 1/10. For the customer service issue alone, we will not be returning...

Delicious! I usually look for a caramel option at whatever coffee place I go to, but they do not have one. I tried their lavender ice coffee instead which was called a Blue Moon Latte. The flavor of the coffee was smooth and tasty. The balance of the flavors was also good. Sometimes at other places the lavender seems to overpower the coffee which was not the case here. I enjoyed having oak roasted coffee which was a different experience. The atmosphere was cute and clean as well. My husband had a chai latte with OAT MILK that he enjoyed. The only thing that I didn't like about the experience was that it's hard to tell what you're getting from the menu because of their creative names for drinks, so I had to ask a lot of questions and for some reason I didn't catch on to what they are trying to do with the amounts of Moon milk. Not only is the coffee SO good, their customer service is awesome! I was in a hurry placing an online order and selected the iced version of what I wanted, instead of the hot. I let the baristas know what happened when I picked up my order and they were so nice, made me the drink I actually wanted (for no additional charge) and told me to keep the iced one to give to someone else. They certainly did not have to do that as it was my mistake, but they did and were so kind about it....
