Starters to Savor: The Mac and Cheese Jalapeño Bites are nothing short of perfection—crispy on the outside with a gooey, cheesy center and just the right kick of spice. These bites are comfort food elevated to an art form. Pair them with the Garlic Bread Steak Sliders, which are tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The garlic bread adds a rich, buttery touch that perfectly complements the melt-in-your-mouth steak.
Centerpiece Extravaganza: The Wine Me Dine Me Charcuterie Board is a feast for both the eyes and the palate. A masterful selection of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, and accompaniments is beautifully arranged and perfect for sharing. This board effortlessly balances sweet, savory, and tangy flavors, making it a standout dish that pairs wonderfully with a glass (or two) from their impressive wine list.
A Dip-Lover’s Dream: The cleverly named I Dip You Dip Three Dips platter offers a trio of indulgent dips, each one a standout in its own right. From creamy and tangy to smoky and robust, this dish invites you to mix, match, and savor every bite. Served with warm, perfectly baked bread, it’s the ultimate crowd-pleaser.
Sweet Finale: Save room for dessert, because the Churro Dessert Cake is an absolute showstopper. Imagine layers of soft, cinnamon-sugar cake with a crisp churro topping and a drizzle of luscious caramel sauce. It’s decadent, nostalgic, and utterly irresistible—a sweet ending worthy of the meal.
Overall: The Velvet Vine Cafe sets the bar high with its inventive menu, impeccable execution, and cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself, this spot is sure to leave you dreaming about your next visit. A five-star experience from...
Read moreSeemed to be an off day. We were the first customers on a Saturday at 10 and didn't see another customer for a while. We found the service terrible and the food disappointing, especially given the potential. We started with "hot coffee" and a cappuccino. Both were served 10-15 minutes later in attractive wide knobby glass mugs with wood lids but both were lukewarm at best. I don't need "dunkin" hot, but these were surprisingly cool. We ordered "Puddin the French in Toast" and "That's What I Tot", with sides of sausage and bacon. Aside from the delicious puns, these dishes should have been amazing especially for the price and the long 30 minute wait. The blueberry bread pudding french toast was super dense and didn't really sing without the creme fraiche, at which point it was mighty tasty, but it was cold. The "Tots" were ridiculous - easily 10 servings of tots with two egg, a little avocado, a few pickled onions, and again - cold. The sausages came out 5 minutes later, cooked to coaster consistency. The bacon came out 10 minutes after that, at the price of $5 for 2.5 strips of average bacon. The flavor of the tots bowl was really good but the ratio of ingredients is way off.
Nobody checked on how anything was. We weren't asked how we like our eggs. Perhaps lunch or Sunday brunch is a better time to go. This felt like the chef overslept and someone else was filling in.
There is creativity in the menu, and real potential but we didn't...
