I went for a classic general TSO chicken, I recently moved from New Jersey to Georgia about a year ago and since then Iāve been trying to find a place that is similar to the one I liked over there. This time I tried, Mr. Wonton. Here is my thoughts: As soon as you get your greeted by this nice and happy lady which takes your order. Food usually takes 10 to 15 minutes to be prepared. I ordered a general TSO for lunch with two eggrolls, I received my food and went ahead to eat it, First bite of broccoli and we started Bad, Broccoli just felt old, Same thing with the rice. It just didnāt feel like a restaurant quality. I would say the worst part is the broccoli and then the chicken, Chicken is a regular chicken nugget that you can buy at Kroger right next to the restaurant, And just put some general TSO sauce at your own house and there you go you save a lot of money. Iām tired of finding Chinese restaurants that donāt wanna bread their own chicken. Overall, I would get this restaurant a four out of 10, The only thing I can recommend from it, which I tried is that eggrolls, but just a veggie eggroll, Because the pork eggroll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never leave reviews but I am going to since I feel like Iāve wasted my money. I have been a regular customer at Mr.Wonton for years, and had full intention of continue to go even after the change in management. But with the change not only has the prices increased, but the quality of the food has fallen drastically. Iāve gotten food from the new owners twice and both times I wasnāt able to finish my food due to the quality. I got the garlic chicken and broccoli both times and I think it wasnāt finished cooking. Overall, the sauce would be thick in certain area (almost jelly like) and the chicken cold like those areas hadnāt finished defrosting and to pair the white rice was hard and tasted old even though I went in the early afternoon both times. I just wish that the old management could come back or that the current owners could match the quality of the old food. It feels unfair that they are keeping the same name, building, and reviews while completely altering the taste and price of the food they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeverely disappointed in the new owner/management of this once great restaurant. We have usually eaten at the Mr. Wonton off of Canton Highway but began eating at the Acworth location the last 2.5 years due to moving into the area. Between something as small as the new containers, to something crucial to food as the flavor. To much changed too quickly. The food flavoring has become bland, and the fried rice was terrible. I understand getting rid of shrimp fried rice for the lunch menu but to serve terrible fried rice in exchange is not the way. The new crab Rangoon are equally terrible with both shape and flavor. It is a sad day. Will not be back unless...
