My fiancé and I first time here, and to be honest, we've been to plenty of restaurants between this area, down to the powder springs area and by far, this place has the highest score as far as service, food and atmosphere from BOTH of us. We had absolutely no complaints about neither of our meals or anything at that fact. Our server at the countertop/ barrista area was very friendly and attentive, even though she was very busy, she was great. Now on to the food. I had the pig out omelet, (I made it an all egg white omelet) which consisted of bacon, ham, sausage, and white cheddar cheese, with a side of smoked gouda grits (or you can get fried potatoes), as well as a cinnamon roll, a side of corned beef hash and a iced hot chocolate. My fiancé had the sausage and egg plate, which came with 2 sausage links, 2 eggs anyway you'd like, a side of fried potatoes (or you can get smoked gouda grits, and bread of your choice, which he got the biscuit. (You can have 3 eggs and 3 sausages for a small upcharge) My omelet was cooked PERFECTLY. The right amount of cheese and meat as well.. The meat inside was Juicy and tender and made the omelet just burst with flavor. The grits were delicious. They just needed a touch of salt and pepper, which I added, and they were perfect! The side of the corned beef hash was good as well. Was nice and tender in the middle with the perfect sear on the top and bottom. The cinnamon roll was delicious, and so was the iced hot chocolate. My fiancé enjoyed his plate as well and to tell you how well, he ate his WHOLE biscuit!. He has NEVER eaten a whole biscuit from ANY restaurant we've eaten in, only the tops of them but this place, he DEVOURED his biscuit!. Luckily I got to break a piece off before it was gone and I DEFINITELY have to say, that it was the BEST biscuit we've had at any restaurant we've eaten at so far. Was so warm and soft and fluffy, and it just melted in my mouth. No butter or jam needed but if I had 1 fo myself, I would have added it to mine and I probably would have thought that it was made by angels for the Gods and I got slid one on the sly to try!!.. lol..His eggs were fried just the way he likes it (over well) and not dried out. He said it was very tender and not dried out or overcooked at all. The fried potaoes were nice, a crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside and had good flavor. He left nothing on his plate and neither did I (only the 2nd time that has happened for both of us at a restaurant we've eaten at)This has now become our go-to for breakfast for now, until we want to try another place. We do want to try their lunch options as well, but there are a few more breakfast items we want to sink our teeth into. Place stays packed, so prepare for a wait, but it's SO worth it. I kid...
Read moreI have gone to Reveille Cafe many times and have always had a good experience with good food. However after this time I have to say it will be awhile before I come back. For Mother’s Day I wanted to surprise my mother with breakfast in bed with the Kitchen Sink platter. As i have done before I placed an order online through Google. Well, the money was taken out of my account first and then it said that I have to wait until it was confirmed. So i wait about five minutes and I check back and it said that my order was canceled (keep in mind the money had already been taken out of my account and because i was being nice i got breakfast for my whole family which totaled to about $55). Well when we check the email we received it said that I would receive a refund in 7-10 business days...for an order that was canceled by Reveille. So me and my sister decided to go up to the Cafe to see if we could figure something out. Upon talking to the manager they said that they didn’t accept the order because they were too busy and that they had slowed down enough then that they could make my food but I would have to pay again. PAY AGAIN? Then they said that the money was actually taken by Chownow the third party service they use for online orders and that I would have to call them. 1. When you use a third party you are responsible for what happens concerning your business.2.You are directly connected to them and they would get back to you a lot faster rather than me. 3. When i did call Chownow the customer service representative first said that it would take 5 business days to get my money back. Then they said that it would take 3 business days and then they finally settled on 24 hours. So now I really have no idea when I am supposed to get my money back because I have been told 4 different things. Now i get that they were going to be busy because it was Mother’s Day but if it is so busy that you can’t accept online orders then turn the feature off for the day. Or they shouldn’t take the money before they accept it or not. So now I’m left with no money back, no food and my family upset. This is ridiculous and poor...
Read moreI normally have breakfast at the West Cobb location (excellent service there), however since my daughter now attends a preschool close to this location I tried it. Last week I sat at a booth for at least 10 minutes without ever seeing a server, so I left. Today, I thought I would give them one more chance. I was seated at a booth across from the kitchen door (no excuse for servers not to see me since that's where they're going in and out). Side note, the hostess has no personality at all and apparently hates her job. Whenever I sat down the 2 booths behind me were empty, a male server attended to the 2 booths across from me, then the booth immediately behind me was sat, a female server attended to them within minutes, then the next booth was sat, that same female server attended to them, at this point I'd been sitting there over 10 minutes with no acknowledgment of any kind. I took my menu back to the hostess and asked for a manager, she said nothing and just walked off like I was bothering her. I went to the bar and asked for a manager, was told there's not one working right now, which I know there's always some kind of manager on duty. I explained the situation to him, he apologized, said he would speak to management about it (which is likely not to happen), then said he thinks that 1st booth might not have been her section. Well there was only 3 booths on one side and 2 on the other side, he went to the 2 booths and she went to 2 of the 3 booths and both saw me sitting there the whole time with nothing. Here's a clue, whenever you're a server, take care of your guest, figure out who's section it is later, your guest should not be aware or inconvenienced by your incompetent or confusion. Also, "coincidence" that same female server suddenly needed something from the bar area as she pretended to be doing something while I was letting the guy know what happened, she obviously knew the conversation was about her and that I was at her booth. Funny, she was suddenly available then. Never ever coming here again, I will drive the additional miles to the West Cobb location, they actually appreciate...
