Rick's Hotwings — Restaurant in Acworth

My best friend and I called in a pick-up order last night. She called in the order, and I was sitting right next to her as she gave the order. She spoke to the owner, who took our order. She placed two separate orders: one for her, one for me. Her order was 10 lemon pepper wings and a side of regular fries. My order was 15 BONELESS spicy barbecue, 20 standard medium wings, and an order of curly fries. When we arrived to pick up our orders, my best friend paid for her order without issue. I went to pay for mine and discovered that the spicy barbecue wings were made with the standard wings and were not boneless. The owner was VERY RUDE about his mix-up and accused us of not ordering correctly; however, I know we ordered spicy barbecue because there were two of us listening to the order. When I asked how long it would take to make the boneless wings I had actually ordered, the owner said 10 minutes. My friend and I said we would wait, no big deal because we wanted the correct order. The owner then looked at me, pointed to the bag with the incorrect order, and asked what was going to be done about that and who was going to pay for it. I responded that I shouldn't have to pay for an incorrect order, and the owner was again very rude about it and was trying to stare me down in an attempt to intimidate me. After this incident with the owner, I told him to never mind about making the boneless wings. I stated I would take whatever he had made and would never be back again because it is not worth being intimidated over. I paid, took the wrong order with the other food, and left. I'm disgusted with the owner's reprehensible behavior towards me.

We have literally been going to Rick's for YEARS, but never again, NEVER! The owner's treatment to a loyal customer is inexcusable. While the wings are tasty, I will not support such poor customer service and bullying techniques...

These were the absolute WORST WINGS I’ve ever had! They should have even gave those wings to NO ONE! They were definitely old. Please believe the bad reviews. The wings tasted and looked like they were leftovers and they dropped them back in the grease! They looked old in the inside. These inside of the chicken was brown in places These wings were so horrible. I can’t stress that enough. My kids were disappointed. They didn’t fee n give us lemon pepper. They put a whole lot of black pepper on the wings. We tried a couple of them and had to throw them away. 30 wings and and a large fry!!! I’m furious. I want my 33 dollars and some change back!!! I don’t have money to give away. Especially in this horrible economy we’re in. I’m upset and highly dissatisfied & disappointed. And soon as I figure out to post pictures I took of the wings they will be going up. Haven’t been this upset at a restaurant in a long time. It’s completely my fault for not checking my food. I was so tired from moving and was just trying to get something to eat for me and my kids.

I understand that your wings are cooked crispy. That’s how I like them but you can clearly tell from my photos that the wings were horrible it had nothing to do with them being cooked crispy. They tasted old. I know what fresh food shud taste like and for you to justify those horrible tasted wings by saying you all cook them crispy has absolutely nothing to do with the taste. Just paid $35 for 20 wings. I ordered online and was told when I picked up that the wings don't come with anything if you order online. There's nothing online stating that everything is a la carte. I only ordered there because I saw their combos weren't too bad of a price. Their 15 piece wing combo comes with fries and a drink for $14.99, but because I ordered online, those combos don't apply. I even left a tip. Highway robbery. Ended up having to go to Zaxbys for fries and a drink, making my total $10 more. I also ordered my wings wet, and they weren't very wet at all. In fact, they were hard and greasy. And most of the grease wasted in the car. I'm not just saying that because I'm upset because of the price. They weren't, in my opinion, very good.
