(Don't usually leave long reviews, but this place has been terrible for the last 5 years and I'm so fed up.) Out of all the Dunkins in the area, this is the worst in terms of accuracy. Every time I come here, my order is made wrong. You want less ice? You get half a cup. You get hashbrowns? Soggy. Looking to treat yourself to some avocado toast? The bread is frozen. Today, I was looking to treat myself with a nutty pumpkin pie spiced iced coffee to kick off the fall. I get coffee every day, but avoid going to Dunkin because of past experiences. When I got my coffee, I took a sip and it was SOUR. The best way to describe it is if you had drank coffee right after brushing your teeth. Yeah... Not pleasant. I let my boyfriend try it and he said it was sour and oddly burnt tasting? I went back to get it remade. Mind you, I was trying my best to be as nice about it as I could. The young cashier was sweet, but had to go get her manager to remake it. Next thing I know, the manager is coming at me with the most AGGRESSIVE attitude and blaming me for the coffee tasting bad because of the flavors I picked and because I ordered it with no ice. (It was literally a menu item?? Nothing crazy except oatmilk instead of cream) I don't know about you, but my drink not being iced shouldn't make it sour and rancid tasting. Also, I asked for oatmilk and my drink was dark orange (borderline brown). If there hadn't been a sale going on, how do you justify charging $1.50 for just a splash of oatmilk? After some back and forth, defensiveness, accusations, and eye rolling, she finally agrees to remake my drink and asks if I wanted ice this time. I tell her to do whatever she thinks will make my drink more bearable. I am in no way blaming the guy who made my drink, it's not like he's going to quality check every batch of coffee. He was even being nice about it. :/ I get my drink, it's still bad, they didn't add the ice they had asked me about adding to try to 'fix' the flavor, and I had to listen to the manager talk crap about me in the back while I waited. They misunderstood my order 3+ times in the drive thru then when I thought they got it right I pull up and they only had one out of the two coffee's I ordered, then when I said something he said with an attitude "no you didn't order two" like how you going to tell me what the two people in the car ordered!?! Then when I said forget it cause he made it seem like a huge deal with two people behind us so I drove off took a sip of the one coffee and they got the flavors wrong after I repeated the whole order at least 3/4 times so I called and the manager who was so unreasonable, and I called him out as being the one at the window who said with the attitude what I did and didnt order and said I could come back for "one!!" coffee made right but would charge me for the other. That's horrible business, I'm a manager and to keep a customer returning you make up for your wrong as an employee. I will never come back to this location! Whoever the manager is Saturday March 27th at 3:04pm is should be fired. Horrible communication skills, and very rude, and doesn't know how to satisfy a customer when they've been done wrong. Read moreI moved to Addison 9 months ago and this location WAS my favorite. Sometimes a line in the morning, BUT I stayed loyal to this store.
Unfortunately, this location is a revolving door when it comes to staff. The 2-4 staff members who are the main adult workers make my order very good, accurate & consistent.
Today, I made a mistake and left my card and had to pay with coins at the drive thru window. I stop at this location 5-6xs a week and this is the first time I didn’t have my payment ready and the staff was VISIBLY frustrated. I felt bad already, but then the Manager approached the window to tell me “next time you should come inside because there is a line after you”. I work in the Drive Thru industry as well so I UNDERSTAND his job as a manger is to keep Drive Times consistent, but a pleasant Guest Experience should be just as important. Thankfully, Addison has 2* Dunkin Donuts on Lake St 🙌.
