This is our go to spot at the office for an indulgence in a guilty pleasure (for me). It is hard not to eat more than I should because the food is just SO good. I haven’t had a bad anything from there. If it’s your first time, you have to start with the Original sandwich, I would also get the hand cut fry’s. The HOT is a good temp to start with if you like a little kick, but it’s not too bad. Medium has barely much heat and wouldn’t go less than that. Honestly, I couldn’t figure why their chicken was so good until I learned from their news letter, that all of their food is fried in beef tallow as well as the history of beef tallow, thank you news letter! It made total sense. I love to take ppl here that have not been here before. I love to wait and listen until they are a few bites and come back with a surprising remark of “damn, this chicken is SO good”. It’s a messy sandwich, but there is no denying that they make an amazing product. IF you are really wanting to indulge the DONUT is dangerously good! If they were looking into franchise Fry the Coop, I would buy into one, it’s that consistently good with a nice variety of options. Now from a marketing perspective, BRANDING could use some work. Love the name! The trend now is beef tallow as ppl realize A. It making the difference in taste and it’s healthier than traditional vegetable/canola oil etc. They need branded t-shirts as people find this gem and would look for a location that is is a more trendy area, possibly Rosemont with all of it traffic of tourists, just to expose the brand to as many people around the world. T-Shirts? Where are they? A greatly missed opportunity of some fun t-shirts. The UI of their manual ordering system needs some work. I would look at Torchy Tacos out of Austin, TX.and what they have done. I think this place could be the Nashville Fried Chicken of the taco world. Their food WILL leave you satisfied and wanting...
Read moreIt you like fried chicken THIs is the place for you! On this occasion came here for lunch. Place looks nice, but as soon as you walk in, BAM! The smell of fried chicken smack you in the face and right there and then you realize this place is legit! The place is nice, clean and decorated like a Tennessee chicken hut. The menu is small and focused on what they do best. Fried Chicken. But, when you get your order you realize what slice of heaven this place really is. We ordered the Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Butter Chicken Sandwiches with regular fries and spicy tries a root beer and a Unicorn Vs Chicken beer. Yes. You read that right. They partnered with a Chicago brewery to make their own chicken inspired beers and they are a hit. That beer was cold and delicious and the artwork on the can was hilarious! Props for that tasteful detail. But the real reason why we were here was the chicken. These sandwiches were huge! The portion was enough to fill me up where I couldn't even finish half my fries. The chicken was golden brown, and crispy and crunchy and the middle was moist and tasty. I chose the medium habanero spice level. They have six and habanero is medium, but it goes to ghost pepper, scorpion, and. what I can only guess to be Napalm! The chicken was tender and delicious, and the flavor was amazing. I didn't know you could do such wonderful things to a plain old chicken breast. The fries were great, the spicy fries were a real shocker. They were not spiced in any kind of traditional way that l've ever known, they were garlicky, and out of this world. These guys are the real deal! Get more chickens! We're about to...

First and foremost, I really really like fry the coop. I normally order extra for myself because I enjoy it.
I was on my way to the restaurant. I tried to call my order in and no one answered. I feel this is ok, since people are busy and things happen. I called a second and third time no answer, tried a 4th and no answer. Unable to make a phone order I drove to the restaurant and ordered take out. It was a little busy so I gave a pass on the phone call. I then tried calling while in the restaurant and it was ignored multiple times. The staff member was not busy. One of the calls he looked at the phone and ignored it.
When I left, I called and someone finally answered. It was the guy that works up front. I explained I tried to call and that I saw him ignore the phone when I was inside. HE DID NOT CARE AT ALL.
As I looked up reviews, I noticed it’s not a one off. Paul is an issue when it comes to customer service.
I opened my food at home and you will see what my sandwich looked like in the photo attached.
Upset I just spent $28.00 on this I called and ask to speak to a manager. Paul asked if anything was wrong. I think he may have noticed it was me calling back.
I explained the situation to the manager. She was understanding and caring. She offered a refund which I took. However, it wasn’t about the money or the sandwich. It was everything combined. Spending that kind of money, poor service, and sloppy sandwich would be pretty infuriating.
Fry the coop staff, please read the reviews and address the issues with...
