Was just here 30 minutes ago. The sandwiches are delicious. Particularly the #13. With that said, that was the only positive aspect I had from this location. Now I have seldomly encountered bias people. Nothing verbally was said to me but their eyes kept following me with the appearance of disdain. Now I normally give people the benefit of doubt but this was too obvious and frequent to overlook. Secondly this franchise has a deal of buy one king sandwich get one for $5. I did not notice this and another employee brought it up to the one cashing me out. His look I will not forget. Lastly, this same employee that rang my order had the nerve to say “you’re not going to leave a tip?!” I am the type of person to leave a tip if services rendered were of substantially above average quality. But two things, first I did not know franchises request tips or have a tip jar. Jimmy johns doesn’t and neither does subway. Two, a tip is an option and just because a customer doesn’t leave one that does not give you the privliege of bringing it up. That being said while the subs are great, I will not be giving this franchise my...
Read moreTerrible customer service, all of the people working there when I went in on May 27 were immature children. I was accosted for politely requesting fresh lettuce when I noticed it was brown. Second bin they took out was even more discolored and gross! Literally got yelled at by a disgruntled teenage worker who felt the need to make a point about how the discoloration was just oxidation. Even as his coworkers were already going back to try a third bin of lettuce he continued to berate me and tell me the lettuce was just fine. The teen 'manager' tried to downplay his behavior and attempted to recover the encounter by turning on the patronizing charm right as I was about to walk out. He and the other guys were slightly more mature but I still felt like I was back in high school dealing with peer pressure. Basically I got bro'd and they made me feel like a total jerk for not being cool enough to just roll with brown lettuce. The way they spoke to me and dealt with my perfectly reasonable request was totally innapropriate. In general Jersey Mike's sandwiches are tasty but I will never visit this Elmhurst location...
Read moreThis is the slowest jersey mikes around if you order while there. At 1:30pm with only one customer in front of me, they took my order (cold regular sub) and actually wrote it on the paper they use for hot subs. 15 minutes later, no one still had started my sandwich. They made two cold subs for carry out and made two hot subs and only checked out one person in 15 minutes before I decided to leave because me and my order were just sitting there. Other than that, there was not one person stationed to make a cold sub. 2 employees in the front (one was at the grill) and at least three in the back doing nothing. Whether prepping or on break, they didn’t care no one was getting serviced.
I’ve ordered while there a few times before, with my first time ever going to that location being my worst Jersey Mike experience ever (they don’t even have soda in the dispenser that works half the time). Since, I’ve only ordered online which seems to have okay success. Today reassured why I only order online. I go to Jersey mikes weekly, but I refuse to ever go back in this one to order...
