I never thought the day would come but - There is a good restaurant in Bensenville, Illinois!!!! Went for dinner with the significant other on a Thursday night (last night). I legitimately expected nothing because everything in this town has disappointed me. However, do not let my low expectations mar my praise of this legitimately high quality eatery. First of all, it's sparkling clean. Smells good when you walk in, tables are clean and bathrooms are clean. Service is unfussy but attentive. I don't expect to be coddled. I like to be taken care of but I like to be left alone. I've held damn near every position in the restaurant industry and I personally HATE long table presentations before a meal. I think they're gimmicky, waaay too trendy, tacky and invasive. The young lady checked on us often but left us alone enough to have a quiet meal - perfect for us. Oddly enough, I know two of the people who wrote reviews prior to tasting the food. First of all, I would suggest a change of the ol' rag between the legs. Second of all, big mistake. Everything was fresh, prepared perfectly and presented simply and pleasantly. No SYSCO factory meat here. With good ingredients the cook's job is not to screw them up. Gyros are seasoned simply, well portioned and delicious. Not the greasy "frat halfwit in town from college" gut bombs you find everywhere else around here. Tzatziki is fresh. Rice is barely seasoned and, again, perfectly prepared. No need to mess with it. Delicious. Chicken also seasoned simply with oil, salt, pepper and lemon. All of the flavors stand out and the chicken was moist and tender. Hard to do with the dry white meat we have in the states. Falafel was awesome and not too dry. The little gyro loaf burger thingy was delicious. Lamb and beef kebabs, again - seasoned simply, cooked perfectly. Slight taste of fire - perfect. Side salad was fresh and seasoned well. No complaints here and that's saying a lot. If you read my other reviews, you'll quickly realize I'm not really a nice guy. If you want some Chia Pet microgreen haircut hipster-friendly joint where your server is going to hold your junk - go somewhere else. If I could have any complaints, I guess the pita bread could be baked in house and the custard doesn't need any chocolate. It's brie texture, buttery-caramel flavor and flambe'd top speak for itself. No need to drown it out with chocolate, in my opinion. Expect great mostly authentic Mediterranean food, simply prepared - in an unexpected place. Leftovers reheat well and this place is pretty cheap to eat at. Less than $40 for two people, multiple beverages and dessert. Solid. feedback...
Read moreThis authentic turkish restaurant has a warm, intimate atmosphere and is very tastefully decorated with beautiful lights and accentung pictures on the walls, making it enjoyable and cozy to spend time here. There is enough seating for at least 50 people (this could be considered small or big depending on what you are looking for). There was plenty of space between tables and there are currently 4 full booths. We wanted to have some Mediterranean food this cold Saturday morning and were very pleasantly surprised and satisfied here. our appetizer was the turkish bread with hummus (it was SO delicious it barely made it for the photo op!) and the lentil soup. We tried one of the Turkish pizza (pide) options (beef), and the chicken pita kabab. To finish, a complimentary traditional turkish dessert kazan dibi the texture is similar to flan and topped with ice cream, crumbled nuts, cinnamon and chocolate drizzle. The food tastes very fresh, the meat we had was tender and well seasoned, the bread tasted fresh but could have been a little warmer. Seasoning is on point and flavor combinations are sensational, garnishing and presentation are more beautiful than the photos on thier menu. Menu is online and you will need to have a way to scan and see. A bonus was seeing that there were other couples here that were from turkey too- that's how you know the authentic places. We will be...

A Culinary Masterclass by a One-Man Maestro â Unforgettable Turkish Dining in Chicago
My recent visit to this Turkish restaurant in Chicago was exactly thatâan unforgettable journey led by one man whose culinary talent borders on genius.
The heart and soul of this establishment is the chef, and I say this with no exaggeration: he is an artist. Not only did he prepare every single dishâfrom the rich, aromatic kebaps to the delicate, KarıĆık Pide, and the dessertsâbut he did so with the precision, care, and passion of someone truly devoted to their craft.
The standout moment of the evening was the KarıĆık Pide. It arrived at the table piping hot, the crust perfectly blistered, the toppings generous and thoughtfully balanced. It was, without question, the best Iâve ever had. Each bite was a harmony of textures and flavorsâsavory, warm, deeply satisfying. But what made it even more special was learning that the very same hands that crafted this masterpiece were behind every single item on the menu.
To say this restaurant is a hidden gem would be an understatement. Itâs a one-man show of excellence, and I feel lucky to have experienced it. Iâll be recommending it to everyone I knowâand returning as...
