We were so excited to try McAlister's yesterday for dinner, however my experience was less than ideal..i've also read a few other negative reviews, none have been replied to by the owner..which just shows how much they really care..
The only two options you have to get food is to go inside or order online and pick it up via the drive through (Which didn't even work, so inside i went). Entering, the store is laid out nicely, and feels really welcoming..menu looks great, great atmosphere.
I had to wait a bit since the cashier seemed to be running the floor, drive through, what looked to be some shadow training and on top of that, her register. While I was waiting, another employee came up and took the person behind me instead of having me come over (The other girl hadn't even started my order nor much of a "I'll be right with you". Not a huge deal, just rubbed me the wrong way since its my first time and I was already off to a bad start.) During my entire time there, the kitchen staff was in the back jamming out to some tunes, which was refreshing to see.. I've read other reviews mentioning management not being so friendly to their staff.
Our food was alright. Nothing out of this world. The sandwiches were kinda thrown together and the sides weren't great, you would think a side of broccoli would have butter or something on it for taste! Also the blackberry lemonade tasted like straight up plastic. Very very dissatisfied all around with our experience and food and do not plan on returning, nor...
Read moreNo stars on Food or Atmosphere because I did a pickup order & never got to eat my food because they gave me the wrong sandwich. Ordered a Club sandwich & chips...went thru the drive-thru to pick up, got my order and drove home to Blissfield. Once home, opened the bag to find that I had a Chicken Salad sandwich with someone else's name on it. Called & told them I would be coming back for a refund. Manager was super nice and accommodating. Wanted to give me anything I wanted AND said he would give me a refund AND gave me a card for a free meal(I think...haven't looked at it). Normally I would have taken him up on all of it, but was really done with the whole thing at that point, because I had already driven all of the way home, had to order something else from somewhere else and drove back to get my refund. If I had been eating in or lived close by, I probably would not have minded as much, but it was what it was. I will never understand how you can bag up an order for someone...the ONLY one picking something up at that moment...and put a sandwich with one person's name on it, into a bag with another person's name on it. It was ONE sandwich...not like several ordered all it once...it was ONE sandwich...arghhhh...not sure I will be back, but will definitely give that card to someone that will...
Read moreThe fam and I decided to try McAllister's on opening day it was delightful. We placed an order for pick up and it was ready in about half an hour which is pretty good considering they were packed. I had the sweet chipotle chicken sandwich. It wasn't as spicy as I expected but it had a good balance of sweetness from the peach and spicy from the chipotle. The chicken was sliced and tasted real good. My mom had the 4 cheese melt with no tomato and a cup of potato soup. She said the ciabatta roll was nice and soft and the soup was good. My grandma raved about the broccoli cheddar soup and chicken salad croissant. In case you're picky about chicken salad like my grandma, know the chicken wasn't in chunks but was blended together with everything else which is exactly how my grandma likes it. We also got a slice of colossal carrot cake which, true to name, was enough for 2 people to split. The frosting was a perfectly smooth cream cheese and the cake had nice cinnamon flavor which went well with the raisins, nuts, and coconut mixed in. This was a true...
