I ordered through the app for pickup this past Monday evening.
After checkout I realized that I was charged more than what the app said my total would be. We had 3 meals, about $12, but one of them was supposed to be free. And yet, the receipt that came up showed that the free meal was not applied. I took screen shots of the order page showing what the correct total should have been and reached out to them through the "support" tab on the app. The response was almost immediate and I was given a @20 credit in the app.... so that should be it, right? Nope!
I get to the store, get to the window and am informed that 2 of the 3 sandwiches I ordered were unavailable because the "fillets are frozen." Also, they were out of several drink options and the side of slaw on one of my meals. Trying to be patient and understanding, I agreed to switch to meal options that were available... basically changing one type of sandwich to another... and to accept an alternate side. I was asked about condiments, to which I reminded them of the two sauces I had selected and paid for in the app, and asked to pull forward.
A few minutes later, my food comes out. I quickly glanced into the bag to check for obvious errors, but did not thoroughly check. This was the one major mistake I made. I assumed, since they weren't remotely busy at the time, that the chances of mistakes had to be low since such care had been taken to go over everything with me.
Finally, I get home... less than 5 minutes from the restaurant. It turns out we were missing a side and received no sauces. Worse, what we did get was terrible! The chicken was clearly old, not crispy, and unappetizing. The buns were partially hard or stale or something. The fries were cold.
Now, I could have gone back up there but I was fed up and really didn't want to end up yelling at a kid working a drive through window at 9pm. Instead, I submitted another support ticket. I have since followed up several times over 2 days and all I get is an email saying that my "ticket has been elevated to a rep" or something like that.
When this location first opened, it was great. Other Popeye's I have been to are typically great. But this experience was so bad that I can't just let it go. I avoid being the bad review guy... and I would not have written this had I gotten a timely response.
After a week of no response to multiple emails I see a canned response to this review.. I'm not interested in your commitment to future accuracy, I want my money back for getting barely edible food. I want someone to respond to the emails I sent with more than "your ticket has been transferred...
Read moreThe food here is always amazing, and I have never had any of the employees be rude with me, they’ve always been pleasant, or at least basic level courteous (though often clearly flustered and scrambling to keep up with everything). My issue here with this location used to be that something was always wrong with my order, like something missing and what not…. I’ve not had that issue recently, now the problem is that they’re constantly running out of things, even early in the day. Twice in a row now I’ve gone pick up orders and when I was arrived, was told they were out of red beans and rice. It’s not even 4 o’clock in the afternoon! Once, when I arrived (4:30) to pick up the order that I had placed an hour in advance (3:15), they didn’t actually start making the order until I arrived, and I just stood around for half an hour waiting as the kitchen ignored the poor guy calling for pieces of my order. I ended up being 25 minutes late to the event that I was going to (36 nuggets, 3 potatoes, 3 red beans). I understand they’re busy and understaffed, but you would think they’d be able to put together an order that was placed an hour in advance and have it ready in time for pick up. At least they’re not making you pick up your online orders by going through the drive-through anymore, their drive-through is always ridiculously long. Don’t get me wrong, the food is absolutely worth the wait, best fried chicken around. But it’s just not good practices to receive an order an hour in advance, not start putting it together until the person has arrived to pick it up, and then you’re out of half of the things they ordered and are unable to refund anything because the order was made online. That’s frustrating. I have four large containers of mashed potatoes in my freezer right now, because I was given much more than I needed because they were out of red beans and rice on my last two visits now…. And last night they canceled my order completely because they couldn’t fulfill any of it, including the chicken. Though in their defense, I was ordering quite late in the evening, and if they run out of red beans and rice by 3:30, I can easily see them running out of chicken by eight…. Despite it all, I will continue to go to this location because the food is absolutely excellent. Just had some at the location up on Manchester, and while the orders are right and they don’t run out of stuff, the quality...
Read moreHorrific... terrible... I cannot find the words in the dictionary that would describe how I felt today... it is the longest I have ever waited for "fast" food.. a whole 28 minutes. . I could have had table service and proper cooked meal in that time.. at Brio s or an upmarket restaurant... And even with my "bitchin" non of the management or staff was interested.. or even remotely attempted to difuse the situation. They all just shrugged their shoulders... And the sad part there were 5 of us waiting and waiting for the popcorn shrimp to be made and they only commenced making it after the 20 minutes wait and my loud voice boomed across the kitchen.. that we are still awaiting our order.. BUT it was important that the drive through was getting all the food made packaged and delivered. .. never mind the 8 customers INSIDE.... and who have already PAID. . I get my weekly/bi weekly fix of shrimp popcorn... sadly as from today..I shall have to find another fix... maybe I should take up smoking... lot less stressful.. Unfortunately for Popeyes.. food is not the only thing rated... it was five stars for food.. fresh hot crispy.. etc.. But staff and management. ... pathetic useless.. nimcompoops.. not a smile not an apology.. not can we fix it sir. . And who the hell does not eat shrimp without cocktail sauce.. they don't. .. because they did not have any in stock... so not only did they made me wait 20 minutes before actually reaching into the cooler and cooking the shrimps.. they had NO cocktail sauce... and then to top it off they give me half portion... at full price. . 1/4 pound is two "cups" see picture only one given.. so not only are they incompetent they also short you... Now that.. is how you lose business.... and get such an awesome review from me.. So all the other times I graded this place as awesome... well now today it is final...
