Peppino's Pizza — Restaurant in Agawam

!!BE WARNED!! Under the new owners, it's unfortunate to say but this place has gone very downhill. What once used to be my favorite pizza place in Agawam has lost its title. For starters, they refuse to make my custom pizza for me and I was told on the phone that it's because they wouldn't like the taste of that pizza so they won't make it anymore. They then tried to upsell me on ordering two personal pizzas instead of one medium pizza to be able to give me the toppings I wanted. This wound up to cost me $8 more. I decided to give it a try anyway since it's new owners and I didn't want to give up on what was once the best pizza shop in Agawam. When I arrived to pick up my pizzas there was no one behind the register to help me. I stood there waiting for 15 minutes until three people came back from doing a delivery together. Only then did they hand me my pizza which was now cold from sitting there. They didn't apologize for the wait or thank me in any way. It is sad to say but I will no longer be going back there. They also claim on other reviews that they kept the same chef as before the new owners. However, I was told on the phone that the new owners uncle is now the chef. Overall, the customer service is now terrible. The new employees are condescending and rude. And the food quality has gotten bad quickly. EDIT: You have only proven my point about the customer service with the snarky comments about people having bad taste and sarcastic comments about 10 sauces on a small pizza. I only ordered 2 sauces on a medium pizza and have been ordering it that way for years with no problem. Also it is very rude to make fun of...

Would give 0 stars if possible. New owners are very unprofessional and the food is not as good as it used to be. I purchased a pizza and when I went in to pay for it they took extra money from me and kept it and said they "have no change sorry" this is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional to not have change available for paying customers. The pizza I received was also cold and had the wrong toppings on it. This also happened at 1 on a Saturday. If you don't have change you should take the change off the bill not keep extra money from the customers, this is very unprofessional. Peppo must be very disappointed to see his name on a failing business.

I felt the need to edit my comment. I don't need to go there for you to see me pick up my medium pizza around 1:00 on 4/15. Due to your disrespectful responses to every negative review you get, you are only going to continue to lose more customers. If you you focus some of your energy that you use accusing customers lying on improving your business and customer service, you might get less...

I have been coming here for over 13 years because of the amazing pizza. Anytime im back in Mass this is my go to spot. Even recommended it to Dave Portnoy to try. Ordered twice over the past two weeks because of how much me and my family love the food and especially the pizza. The last two orders i received were so bad. The quality AND MOST IMPORTANTLY TASTE went down 100%. I ordered again because i thought it was a fluke of sorts. We all thought we were crazy until we did a bit of research and found out the original owner is no longer there. You can definitely tell. I will forever miss Mr. Peppo’s voice taking our order and the delicious food. This was the last good memory I had from childhood, and now it’s gone. What a shame. Prices are garbage as well.
