After stumbling upon Uncle AF’s International Sandwich Shop on Yelp’s recommendation list and noting its proximity to my home, my son and I decided to indulge in a lunchtime adventure here.

Service was swift, friendly, and personalized, with the owner’s son manning the counter and extending a warm welcome to us. The seating area is cozy, with a mix of tables, bar seats along the window and wall, and a communal table for larger groups. A few tables outside offer a sidewalk dining experience, albeit in the midst of a bustling strip mall environment.

The menu boasts a selection of 10 tantalizing sandwiches and Paninis, accompanied by French fries, prepackaged chips, snacks, bottled sodas, and iced teas. While the sandwiches lean towards the pricier side, ranging between $15 and $20 each, their size and quality justify the cost, although location might play a role in the pricing.

The sandwiches exceeded my expectations in size and flavor, generously filled with meats and toppings, and served alongside a sizable portion of fries. It’s worth noting that when ordering with multiple people, all items are served together on one tray, which might not suit everyone’s preference.

The ambiance is straightforward yet inviting, with a cheerful yellow, black, and white color scheme adorning the walls adorned with travel quotes, adding a touch of wanderlust to the dining experience.

However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with an unstable table, and a closer attention to cleanliness around the register area would enhance the overall dining experience.

It's a magic place!

I recently visited Uncle Af's, and I was thoroughly impressed! This place has an amazing selection of high-quality vegetarian and vegan sandwiches that truly stand out. I tried the “Happy Cow Sandwich,” and it was packed with flavor. The combination of sautéed mushrooms, avocado, caramelized onions, olives, and arugula on ciabatta was just perfect. The homemade vegan pesto added an incredible touch.

I also couldn’t resist the “Vegetarian Sandwich,” which was equally delicious. The mix of sautéed mushrooms, olives, and garlic aioli, along with the creamy goat cheese, made for a mouthwatering experience.

The atmosphere at Uncle Af's is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my visit was enjoyable.

Chicken Firecracker is 🧨 hot spicy chicken sandwich was a flavor explosion—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and with just the right amount of heat to make it exciting without being overwhelming. 🌶️🔥 Oliv’e cold sandwich with pickles and Persian chicken potato oliv’e salad was equally amazing.
