I have always loved Zaxbys. But the University Pkwy location has me feeling differently. Everytime we go there now,it's always something. We keep giving them the benefit of the doubt and go back and try again. This past week was the final time. I put in an online order,$90 worth of food. I told them I would be picking up the order at 6:15. I submitted the order at 3:30. When I arrived,the drive-thru was in the road. I called them to let them know I was there but with the drive-thru going into the road,I couldn't park in the online pick up parking spots. So I told the employee I would be parked in the parking spot right outside the drive-thru window. She said ok ma'am, we'll be right out. 20 minutes later,I called again to find out why they had not brought out my order yet. The manager then informs me that someone took the food out,brought it back in and told her that the customer had left. The employee never informed anyone of where I was parked. By the time we got our food and got it home,the fries were cold and soggy,the toast was limp,and the chicken was just semi-warm. The fried pickles were cold and the breading was sliding off. Needless to say,I was very disappointed. I understand times are crazy right now,but if the employees were communicating with each other this wouldn't have happened. I will not be returning to this location. I will just have to travel to another location and hope their communication...
Ā Ā Ā Read more11/22/17 ordered traditional wing meal, 'fried hard times two' to be more crispy. I got the order & there was no difference in the wings, not crispy at all! Sent them back, the manager told them to try it again. And again they were not crispy at all, really soft to the touch. Asked for the manager again, the manager David Brock I believe, came out & I explained to him that again the wings were not crispy, so he gets all loud, telling me about their wing cooking procedure, like that's really what I want to hear. I asked why don't they check to see how crispy the wings are when they come out of the fryer before sending them out to the customer. So now he starts saying that everyone has a different opinion on what's crispy! Rudely asking me how long do I want them to fry the wings! I told him that I had no idea, I don't work here. He says exactly, we don't know either. Wow, just fry them until they're crispy, what's so hard about this? The south location gets it right! So I told him let's try it one more time, & he has the nerve to say that he wasn't going to keep wasting wings! Well you wouldn't waste any food if you properly trained your staff to get it right the first time! So the third time was the charm, but unfortunately after dealing with the rude & condescending manager, I couldn't enjoy my meal. I will not be back to this location! Not worth the price or wait, the McDonalds is better...
I ordered through the App, the app explained it would be ready in 12 mins. I waited patiently, I was polite, and I did not cause any issues with the staff.
I witnessed the staff debating over my order despite the order being very simple. 3 items and 2 drinks.
After 30 mins of waiting, I watched my food sit on the counter getting cold for 15 mins. I only knew it was my food when the employee finally grabbed my food and instead of calling out my name like he did with everyone else, he placed it on the pick up counter. After all that time waiting, I still had to walk up to the counter and tell them items were missing including my drinks.
I received no apology for either the wait or the inaccuracy. After watching employees apologize to literally everyone else, I felt singled out. I should have chewed out the manager but after 45 mins waiting for my food, I needed to go home and feed my family. You don't treat people like this....
