I would have given them a 1, but the food WE GOT was good. Itâs the service I need to comment about. We called in our order and they said it would be 35 minutes. I got there at 35 minutes, and went to the desk to pay for my order. I had a VISA gift card I wanted to use, gave it to them to run through and she said it was declined. When I got home I looked on-line and she had tried to charge $10 more than I said was on the card. Ended up having to use a different card. I then had to wait for our food. They brought out some takeout orders to the front desk and she passed all of them out except for one. After about 15 minutes she realized it was mine. So, it was more like an hour for the food with 15 minutes of it sitting on the counter. When we got home, I opened my food. I ordered a low country boil. They got the order wrong by give me clams instead of sausage. My wife called them. They first had to check the order. Yep, I ordered sausage. She asked if I wanted to come back to pick it up. I said no. They then had a manager get on the phone. The manager asked us to SEND A PICTURE of the food to prove it was wrong. After that, they called back and said that next time Iâm in they would give me a free order of sausage. All this for a $6 item. Yeah, probably wonât be...
Read moreLet me just say thisâSoul & Seafood is the real deal. I had my very first seafood boil at a restaurant there, and now? I'm hooked like a shrimp on a skewer.
I customized my boil with snow crab (1/2 lb), shrimp (1/2 lb), scallops (1/2 lb), three golden potatoes, three sweet corn cobs, and two perfectly cooked eggsâand oh my gracious, it was love at first bite. The seasoning? It hit every note: buttery, garlicky, spicy-sweet magic that had my mouth watering nonstop. I literally could not stop eating. My taste buds were having a praise break!
But it wasnât just the food that had me glowingâit was the vibe. The waiters were SO kind, welcoming me like a long-lost cousin, and when I finished my feast, they high-fived me like Iâd just won a seafood championship. It was my first time having seafood at a restaurant, and they made me feel like royalty. Seriously, customer service like that? Rare. Beautiful. Deliciously wholesome.
So if youâre craving a meal that hugs your soul and satisfies your stomach, run, donât walk to Soul & Seafood. Whether youâre a first-timer or a boil pro, youâll leave full, happy, and planning your next visit. I know I am!
Rating: 10/10 butter-drenched crab legs. Will be back for round two.
Wanna come with? Iâm not sharing my scallops though. You've...
Read moreUsed to eat here but today it was not good at all. Our server was Renee and we did not have a good experience with her. We ordered a fish PO Boy sandwich. Thinking it would be a normal piece of fish, it came out about a quarter of a piece of fish cut in tiny pieces, and a tiny one piece of tomato cut into tiny pieces. Man can't you at least give what is normal portions for a fish sandwich? We ordered water with lemon, but had to ask three times to get extra lemon. Next when I asked if the french fries were steak fries or the thin fries, her response, was "how do I explain fries, there not thick, not thin ok, they are like McDonald's. Had to ask for tarter sauce twice. We asked for real forks instead of plastic, but when she brought them, she wanted the plastic back!! You gotta be kidding, are they so cheap they had to reuse a plastic fork? I had to walk up to another server near the back to ask for a knife as Renee didn't seem interested enough in checking on us. She never ask if we wanted more water or offer to refill out glasses. This appears to be a restaurant in decline. It is not even close to the quality and quantity of food when it was Soul Food and Sea Food of Aiken. Now it is the Soul House of Aiken. DON'T GO HERE, DON'T WASTE...
