I've come here multiple times in the past, I discovered it in the 2021 Drip Drive. My boyfriend and I were completing this year's Drip Drive and know that Compass Coffee is also on the Akronite App. For those unfamiliar, it's an app that tracks your spending at Akron businesses and you earn points you can spend at participating Akron locations. I've redeemed my Akronite points at Compass Coffee in the past, that's how I know for a fact they do accept the Akronite points. However this time, I was told I could not use my Akronite points, which I had saved up $32! I was very disappointed to hear this and probably will not be back due to this. My boyfriend and I already got our stamp for the Drip Drive so we don't need to be back. It was a nice place to grab coffee, with a nice atmosphere. update we were waiting 20 minutes after getting our breakfast sandwiches for our drinks. After my boyfriend walked up there to ask where our drinks were he said he forgot all about them. After getting his drink, he noticed it was a small instead of the 16 Oz we had paid for. We didn't care to wait any longer to bring this to his attention. We definitely won't return. * after trying my CHAI LATTE I almost swallowed a whole Coffee bean. Why is there Coffee...

Compass coffee is a rare coffee shop that uses coffee and their location as a means of serving the community. Exciting and wonderful things for the good of others and Akron are happening here. As a lover of specialty coffee it is Compass Coffee's function as a multi roaster bringing some of the best coffee from around the U.S. to Akron that also makes me excited about them. No other place in Akron does this. You can't even get the same coffee sent to your house for less money. Compass coffee is your typical thirdwave coffee shop with a La Marrzocco espresso machine and some of the best grinders in the market (Mahlkonig Ek43 and Mazzer) to ensure the best tasting espresso and coffee pour overs. The space is very spacious and well suited for studying, getting together with friends, or having a meeting and their hours of operation make this possible on most days and hours of the week. I can see myself visiting often, canceling my coffee subscriptions and buying coffee here, and making this my coffee shop (in addition to Artisan in Ellet šŸ˜‰). Thanks Compass Coffee for what you're doing for the...

I am a very tolerable customer so it takes very little to turn me off from a any restaurant, coffee shop, or any place that I have to spend my money. Let me preface this by saying that, I don't have a car. So if I am hungry I try to find places to go. I have been waiting to try Compass Coffee for about a week. So I order it today and it came right on time. My tea was hot but that was about it. My bagels were dry and croissant was burned. How in THEE WORLD would you send food to a costumer and it's like that? If I was in your restaurant you wouldn't do it. So why treat others who are patronizing you by Uber Eats, Door Dash, or Grub Hub differently? I'm very offended and appalled by this because I know I probably spent more on my order due to delivery fees, taxes, etc then tipping the driver than a patron sitting there. I would rather not have a bagel, croissant, or tea than come here again because your establishment is not trustworthy. If I could I'd give you a negative. Hats off to people who can drive there at least you can see the quality of your food...

Everyone here was no nice!!! Plus, I absolutely love the love for the community here. My grandfather grew up in this neighborhood. Now my mom lives in the house now (Middlebury neighborhood!). I came in from San Diego and essentially set up shop for the week working remotely. I felt bad being there so long every day but… the coffee was amazing plus the sandwiches!! They even had a sandwich named after my mom’s street. They have a local black owned book shop in there too. Get it! Side note… There is actually a marketplace up the street that has some locally sourced goods too. A wonderful experience! Buy local y’all. So after being there all week, my husband sent me roses directly to the coffee shop from San Diego. He had the delivery guy and the team there on the phone helping to get the flowers to me for a surprise šŸ™ŒšŸ» Please go here and support them ā¤ļøšŸ’„

647 Coffee is a beautiful and spacious spot with tons of seating—perfect for groups to gather, work, or just hang out. The artwork adds a nice creative touch, and I really love that it appears to be a nonprofit making a positive impact in the community. The coffee itself wasn’t my favorite—it’s not bad, but it has a strange aftertaste that didn’t sit well with me (though I acknowledge that could just be a matter of personal preference). Wi-Fi was tough to connect to, and I felt a bit unsure about its security. The surrounding neighborhood seems rough, with visible drug activity. But honestly, that’s part of why I appreciate this coffee shop even more. It’s planted in a place that clearly needs light and support—and it’s trying to be just that.

Very cool chill and spacious coffee shop that is connected to a church. Plenty of space and outlets to work or study from. The service is friendly and the music is mellow which makes it a great place to concentrate or have a conversation. The lattes were made well and it was enjoyable to drink. They have a stage so looks like they might have live music at times and they also sometimes have special food takeovers. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to get your coffee fix without the hustle and bustle of a loud and busy coffee shop.
