What a disappointment. My wife's birthday was yesterday and I had read a lot of wonderful reviews on this new restaurant so I .booked a table for four at 8pm through Open Table. On the reservation I noted it was a birthday and that we'd like a booth. When we arrived we were originally placed in a table in the middle of floor, between the restroom entrance and a door marked "service entrance". There were two booths unoccupied right next to that table but when I asked if we could have one of those I was told by the hostess "no, they are reserved and cannot be released because of the time of our reservation" (whatever that means). An older gentlemen saw we were unhappy and moved us to a much nicer table in the bar area.
Once seated our waiter came over and took our drink orders which we waited about 30 minutes to receive. The place was busy but it seemed like our order was forgotten for a bit. Then when we did finally get our drinks my order was wrong. I had ordered an Old Fashioned but received a Manhattan. By the time we saw the waiter again (about 10 more minutes) to place our order I gotten tired of waiting and started my cocktail but did point out to him it wasnt what I ordered. He began by insisting that no, I said Manhattan but everyone at my table corrected him and said "he definitely said Old Fashioned".. The offer was made to take the drink I did have back and replace it but I didnt want to wait another 30 minutes so I kept it.
Appetizers were pretty good and came out quickly (we had the Calamari & Brussel Sprouts) although the Calamari was a bit dry and didnt have much flavor. Salads were fine (again nothing very special and only two dressing choices - balsamic vinegar or white French) and came out promptly.
Main courses were the major failure though of the evening. I ordered the bone-in Ribeye, medium rare. I was presented a Ribeye with no bone and medium well done (very little pink). My wife ordered the Filet Mignon well done (I know, I know) and was presented with what I could only describe as something that looked (and tasted) like a flank steak as it was very flat and wide and looked nothing like a Filet I've ever seen. Neither had much flavor (we added the horseradish dressing to compensate) and were quite bland. One of our guests had the house special Squab and while she didnt complain I couldnt help but notice she didnt eat any of it and basically just moved the food around her plate. Our other guest had the Pork Chops and said they were very good so there's that.
Ironically the only person on the wait staff who was personable and talkative to us was a young man clearing the dishes and my wife noticed he got scolded by the hostess for spending too much time at our table.
Spent $400 including tip to have a poor meal for my wife's birthday. And couldnt help but notice that one of the two booths we were told we couldnt have sat empty the entire night. We...
Read moreI booked a reservation here to come out and celebrate my mom's birthday. Everyone was looking forward to this great experience that we heard about on Instagram. Upon arrival we were seated in our private suite. Our waiter Ryan answered questions about certain dishes on the menu and what he recommended. He also showed us how to operate the system in the theater ok great we're off to a good start. Just hang tight they will bring out your bread, salad, drinks etc. We received our drinks👍🏽, salads👍🏽, bread but no butter👎🏽. Apologies were given for the no butter, but by this time who needs it. We placed our dinner order. Everyone asked for well done. When our food arrived everything was pink and still bleeding. Our waiter said one moment let me get the manager. She arrived and asked what was the problem. We explained to her our issue. The food was taken back to the kitchen only to be returned still pink. My mom just kept her steak. I asked could we swap out our sirloin steak and just get a different cut the manager states no because this is the steak we have for you. Our food was taken back to the kitchen again. The manager brings the food back. Now we're finally able to try the food. The mashed potatoes were good, but my steak had no season on it at all. So we moved into the theater portion of the room. Everything streaming is what we have at home already, so don't go looking for some new movie. Some movies that we did click on was asking for a $3.99 rental fee. We just played a comedy show to keep my mom's spirits up. At the end we had to call for them to release us because I saw that it was past our reservation time. At this point was when we were offered a refill on our drinks. Now the check has arrived. I see a gratuity fee of $33 was added to my check. I inquired about that because the ticket says gratuity automatically added for a party of 8 or something like that, we only had a party of 5. So not only is the entrance hidden they also have hidden fees. Our waiter then explains that the screening rooms automatically adds a gratuity fee. I should've ate the $4 candy that's set up in the room. This whole experience was a wreck. So the 45min-1hr drive was...
Read moreYa'll !..... I would give this restaurant 50 stars if I could. Exceeded every expectation. The drinks were perfectly poured. We got the charcuterie board appetizer and shrimp cocktail. The balsamic / smoky like jam on the charcuterie board was AMAZING. Everything went together so well. The shrimp were huge and that cocktail sauce was 🔥! We ordered the lobster surf and turf. This board took up 3/4 of the table 🤣🤣🤣 and we felt the need to go ahead and add crab legs to it 😋 The lobster was cooked to perfection and literally melted in your mouth. I was hesitant to order a lobster that big, because cook time is everything. The steaks were sirloins but had the texture and buttery smooth tenderness of a filet and was the most perfect medium rare I've ever seen 👌 We did not get dessert- we have leftovers for lunch and dinner today 😋 🤣 so much food and so worth it. We got passes to the coat room lounge for after dinner. Took our leftovers up to the room and came back down and enjoyed a couple more drinks in coat room lounge. The bartender was very friendly and knew how to make a drink- that espresso martini- whoa momma ! And those Manhattans .... we took a drink to go up to the room 🙃
Brittany was our server- of course. Who else ?! So friendly, great personality, and very knowledgeable ❤️
We walked around and went on a little short tour after dinner. So many details. Pay attention 😍
We slept well to say the least 😴
We will definitely be back Thanks Nick and Emily for putting together such a great team and menu !
I loved all the security to the building, though, and the kitchen in our room was nice to put drinks in fridge, heat...
