Mickey's In The Valley — Restaurant in Akron

I don’t think I’ll be returning. Firstly, the only dollar bottle they have is Bud Light, yuck! Might as well get $1 bottle of water lol. Aside from the lacking cheap beer selection, I also had an issue with my tab. I came in, the bartender, who overall was pretty nice, was told who was on my tab (myself & my fiancé). When we decided to call it a night, we settled our tab & went on our way. I couldn’t help but to think it was a bit expensive for what we had gotten. However, a dark & loud bar atmosphere doesn’t make for the greatest place to examine a sales receipt. The next day I decided to look at the receipt and saw there were a ton of drinks put onto our tab that we didn’t order. I tried calling the phone number listed on the receipt but the phone was disconnected. I ended up having to drive down there, only to be told by the man who was working that he had no idea what this was or why it was like that. He then said that I’d just have to come back again “tomorrow night, but don’t make it too late because we get busy.” I clearly was going to get no answer from them, and was not trying to go back and forth to the bar a bunch of times. So I ended up just disputing the charges with my card issuer.

Overall, there’s better bars in the area & surrounding areas. To be honest, if you’ve gone to one bar in the Valley, you’ve experienced them all. I say, avoid the whole scene all together &...

I and 4 others arrived about an hour before closing, promptly seated by the hostess and greeted by a waitress who informed us that our food orders would have to be "to-go" since they were closing (in an hour). Im a pretty easy going guy, we walked to the bar, so it's not like we drove 30 minutes to go there specifically, and honestly didn't have problem with it being "to-go", except for her attitude and general demeanor towards us. We asked for another server and got some guy that was pretty cool, kept our drinks topped off and even joked around with us, good dude, really turned around our experience. Food was really good too. 3 stars because of the waitress and the fact that I saw her palm the tip off the table as we walked...

I’m so sad to be posting this because I used to be a loyal customer. My fiancé and I used to go all the time. Bartenders were always nice, good drinks and overall good vibes. BUT recently we went and witnessed the owner, Mickey, physically shove one of his bartenders at the end of the night. It wasn’t just me, There was 6-10 people who witnessed it & the cops were called. The fact that he put his hands on a woman let alone one of his EMPLOYEES is unforgivable and I will never be returning there to support...
