Subway — Restaurant in Akron

We were excited to try this place because the one nearest our house has been really inconsistent lately. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was inside and we thought we would be met with equally nice service and sandwiches. We were wrong.

The two women working were very rude and did the bare minimum to make our order, no kind greeting, no patience as we tried to convey our order through the COVID barrier glass (not their fault that its hard to hear through the glass but they were very rude about it), we watched them serve a few more customers after us who were also treated very rudely and listened to them snap at multiple customers in their drive-thru. As a person who works in customer service, this was very frustrating to encounter.

Our sandwiches did nothing to recover our experience. The veggies were all mushy, the lettuce was wilted and discolored, and they drowned them in the sauce making them very messy to eat and not at all satisfying. Went to try the new sub Cali fresh with avocado. Could not try it they only had about one scoop of avocado not enough for a 6" or a foot long. She stated they did not have more. I got something else. The swiss cheese I was going to get was in a pool of water and slimy. No thank you. Finishing my sub I asked her for pepper a lot of pepper she used salt and must of shook 16 plus salt shakes on my sub! I had to aaahhh stop! So she wuld stop putting all that salt on my sub. As I feared she ruined the sub. Upon returning home to eat my food after one bite I could taste only salt. I had no choice but to throw it away. It was extremely busy in the restaurant and the drive-thru. I hoped it wouldn't be as bad as I thought and that I'd be able to still eat it. Wrong wrong wrong!!! I didn't have the time to have it remade. Will not return to this brand new fresh...

The location is nice and the decor inside is great. Visibly it is one of the nicest subways I've ever been to. However, that is all the good things I have to say.

We ordered inside. The COVID shielding and the loud whir of the machines apparently makes it impossible for them to hear what you order. I yelled it multiple times and was met with nothing but rudeness from the staff. They seemed to genuinely resent their customers with each interaction we observed.

My sandwich was made in a hurry, despite us being the only ones in line. Several pieces of chicken were actually thrown off of my sandwich into other bins, none of which were replaced. All the veggies seemed old and were discolored. Nothing about the sandwiches tasted very fresh. Have eaten at subway for 25 years and this was the worst sandwich...
