Hardee’s — Restaurant in Alabama

Several things we're wrong with this place. First of all, they had run out of hotdogs. How poorly do you have to manage to run out of a main menu item BEFORE the dinner weekend rush (I was there at 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon)? Second, although the restaurant was completely empty, it took at least 10 minutes to get my sandwich and onion rings. I felt sorry for the family of 4 in front of me who still had not gotten their food. Third, I ordered a large drink. The cup I was given was the size of a medium at every other Hardee's (and every other fast food chain, for that matter), but that didn't stop them from charging me for a large. And yes, I asked if she made a mistake. She said no.

To top it off, they had the gaul to have a tip jar out. I doubt Hardee's is leading a push to make tipping normal in fast food, given the handwritten (and very unprofessional looking) note soliciting tips.

As a truck driver when I get an appointment I take it very serious. Today I was standing at your door at 4am which is the time you're supposed to open. That is not the time that you start preparing to open. A manager and an employee were standing at the counter looking at me standing in the freezing temperatures for 15 minutes. How hard would it have been for one of them to walk 20' to the door to let me know "Hey where running a little behind, will open in approximately this long. It seems all these big restaurant chains have the same mentality these days which is: "I don't care about you because there are 10 more people that will come in as soon as you leave". I have been a customer of this particular Hardee's for more than 7 years at least 2 to 3 times per week some times more. It seems that since this particular manager has taken charge the quality of their food is not as good and even the attitudes of the employees doesn't...

The food we ordered was wrong. It wasn't busy when we stopped there to eat on our way through but somehow with only our group and one more person they couldn't manage to get our order right. The staff was friendly enough. They did make the order over again it just would have been better if it had been right the first time so it didn't end up adding another hour to our trip. Ordered through the drive through the attendant called our order back to me not once but 2 times as well as it was displayed on the screen so I'm not sure what happened that made them get it so mixed up.
