Walton's is a locally owned equivalent to Zaxby's, Guthrie's, Cane's, etc. Their main focus is on wings and chicken tenders, but they also have burgers and some home-cooked food.

It's a fairly large restaurant as far as these types of places go. The interior wasn't spotless, but there are lots of tables available, and we found a clean one quickly. Service was a little distracted by the Bama game playing on the TVs, but our food came out very quickly.

Chicken tenders were worthy of a 2 star rating, wings were a 4, so a 3 I suppose it must be. The wings were quite good. Although they were small, they were tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Sauce was nice and hot, which is good since we got the wings hot! Celery was very fresh. Ranch came in a Ken's ranch cup, so it's not house-made and was a touch on the salad dressing-y side.

The chicken tenders just didn't have enough flavor. They seemed hand breaded, so that was good, but there didn't seem to be a ton of seasoning. I also didn't get any sauce with them. Apparently, they have the standard special sauce, but they either forgot to put it on my plate or I was supposed to ask. I assumed they just came with the sauce automatically (you're charged for extra), so I didn't. They really, really needed some sauce to spice them up. The toast wasn't buttery or crispy enough, and the coleslaw was too thick and mayo-laden for me.

On the bright side, the fries were really good and crunchy! I'd get...

Doing business down on Hwy 69 South in Tuscaloosa, Alabama this morning and went to Taco Casa but the drive thru line was so long so I left there. Was about to pass Walton's Chicken up and go home for lunch and noticed there was a very short line. So I drove in there and let me tell you. It took me longer to decide what I wanted to order than it took me to get my lunch. I placed my order for a 2 pc meal Chicken tender box that had fries, toast, chicken tenders, one sauce, and a drink for only $5.68 and that was the whole total. By the time I placed the order it only took 6 minutes to get my whole order. The order was hot, fresh and tasted great. I was greeted with a smile by Malorie who waited on me and the other ladies were all smiles and so polite. I was totally taken back by the best customer service from start to finish that I had gotten in a very long time. I made it a point to thank them and tell them I will be back. I drive all the way around the building one more time and parked under a tree to get in the shade and eat my lunch. Put down the windows and sat there, ate lunch, and watched how fast the customer service was. It was a work of art and if any of those people were treated like I was and their meals correct like mine then boy let me tell you that there are some happy customers out there tonight. I would recommend everyone looking for great food and great customer service then this is the place to be for sure. Go...

I have been eating Waltons for over a decade and it's still one of my staple favorites! My cousin (MS resident) & I always try to plan lunch dates here bc she also thinks they are the best and travels to eat here! I also live a good distance away, so any day I get to come to Waltons is a great day! My fave item is the corn nuggets; advice: lightly dip one side in mild sauce and sit aside and eat w/ their Waltons sauce (if u dip too much it takes away the perfect crunch they have)... legit a delicacy. Customer service has also always been exceptional every time I've been to Waltons. Thanks for providing customers with such YUMMY food and EXCEPTIONAL customer service! And please never leave like the northport branch did, I'm still sad about that lol 😆 because it was closer to me

.....additional: so I left something out and remembered and came back to add but saw some of the negative reviews and am in shock.... actually forgot what I was going to add. I don't get to eat here super frequently and my main thing is grilled fingers or wings and corn nuggets, but I've literally never had a bad experience here (both take out and eating in) so I'm a little shocked by some of the negativity.... and the staff have literally been amazing every single time.... like hobby lobby and chick-fil-a level friendly and personable... some people are hard to please and I'm sure businesses have bad days but not worth some of the reviews I...

Wow. 3 piece grilled tenders combo. $9.52. The "tenders" were about the size of a pack of ketchup. They had good flavor, but very chewy and dry. The fries were good. The cashier was very nice and polite, and I appreciate that. I do feel for the price and lack of line I should have gotten my food quicker than I did. While I was eating, the same cashier stepped out to check the lobby and started cleaning the tables, noting that every table was dirty. She was also sweet and offered to take my plate to the trash even though she was busy cleaning. Very swet lady, and the highlight of my visit. I will say an exemplary employee. But the food itself was rather underwhelming for the price. Not a place I'll be recommending.

Couldn’t eat inside after driving across town to arrive 30 mins til close at 9pm. There was a line all the way around the building. Doesn’t make much sense to not use the lobby at a peak times because you want to have it cleaned and closed up early. We were informed it’s drive through only and all the chairs in the restaurant were up on the tables so I’m assuming they had been closed in the lobby with no signage or lobby hours posted mentioning this. We normally spend $65-75 per visit for a large order of grilled and some other things. We just went to taco casa next door instead.
