OEC Japanese Express Hibachi & Sushi (Hwy 69 S) — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

Went there 6-8-24 no customers in there I placed my order , while sitting there waiting on my order a customer came in to place an order. As the customer is handing the worker the money, the worker in his own hand. He continued to make change to the customer. He never went to wash his hands as I’m still sitting there waiting on my meal. Get home to eat it and the food had NO seasoning at ALL. Bland as can be , no taste at all. Now if I’m the only customer there when I placed the order, they can’t say they were busy and forgot to season food. I haven’t been there since the restaurant was cited for a worm in the food supposedly. Info was made public by health department 🤷 thought I would go back today to give them another try but not again. I paid $25 for a plate that literally had no taste I could even compare it to!...

Got to enjoy the steak and chicken hibachi with mixed veggies. Overall a good meal, portion sizes and freshness of everything seems top notch. My one issue is the quality of steak used. It's a flat beef, loaded with meat tenderizer, similar to what I'd call "Chinese takeout" beef. If that's ever changed to true cubed chunks of steak rather than beef strips, this would be a 5* review. The ginger salad and sweet carrots are the standouts of the meal, excellent flavors...

awful place I waited for over an hour for my food and when it came it was cold,I guess they were filling the call in orders or the uber eats order and gave me leftover,if I wasn't so tired I would have sent it back,I have been at work for over 12hrs,I was tired and hungry all I wanted to do is eat and go to sleep,I work hard for my money just to waste it on this scrappy place.they don't ever have worry about me giving them any of my business I wish I could have...
