I was disappointed in our experience. We went at 3pm on Monday. There were around 20 patrons at this time and 2 staff members working. I do understand with any new business there are kinks to be worked out. One of those is the lack of clear organization for patrons to be waited on leading to confusion of who was next for staff and customers. The individual that gave us our ice cream didnāt check us out, and no one was at the register after we received our treats. We opted to eat our ice cream and then pay before leaving to avoid melted ice cream. The lack of process to complete a customer transaction could lead to lost funds for the business if people werenāt honest and left. We were also disappointed in the portion sizes. It could have just been the individual serving us, as we saw servings by the other staff member and they were very large. Our order was for two single scoops in a cup and one double in a cup. They didnāt even fill the cup. The double wasnāt any larger than the singles, despite being in a larger cup. The bill was almost $18. While the ice cream was good, for the amount we received, it was not worth it at all. I never completely judge a business by initial customer service, as previously mentioned, I get there will be some training issues to work out, but given the price vs what we paid for, I wonāt be rushing back anytime soon. It was odd when I walked in and I was told thereās no line, I just had to get someone attention when I was ready to order. There were only two people working the back and one at the register. There were a ton of people waiting and no queue or line. Finally I got an employees attention and they started to take the order for my two young nieces I had brought with me, but then when another customer interrupted us mid-order and told the employee helping us that she should be helped instead of us because she had been waiting longer. I explained that I had just started my order and asked if we could just finish, but the employee told me simply āI donāt knowā and then left us. We waited fifteen more minutes until another employee was able to take our order. It was confusing and stressful. My nieces enjoyed their ice cream but the prices are high and the service made things harder than it needed to be. We were handed a numbered ticket when we walked in with no explanation, and when we asked for samples we were told to wait until the number was called. Fair enough, but this lead to lots of people who were waiting to order just standing around and we felt like we were in the way of people who were looking at all the options. When our number was called we ordered and were handed our ice cream but the place to check out was behind all of the cakes so we ended up waiting on people who were still looking. We were then standing in the way of people trying to come in and out of the front door as we waited to check out.
