Cruncheese Korean Hot Dog — Restaurant in Alafaya

The restaurant recently just opened so I understand that when coming to eat there will be a long line especially since it is in the Waterford area.

I will say though be prepared to have to shower if you stay in longer than 5 minutes since the restaurant is especially super humid and hot in there not including the many people in line. You will smell like corn dogs and fried food when you leave.

When first searching the elusive restaurant I had to go around all of the Waterford area to try and find it since the navigation kept leading me into the wrong area. To save anyone else time it is located near Crumbl Cookies and the Panera Brea.

Once we got our order in it came out within 10 minutes. The employees are super nice and patient since my friend and I were both new to this. The jalapeno ranch and garlic parmesan sauces were amazing. You can have the sauces either drizzled on top of your corn dog or on the side. All sauces are free and don't charge extra. I also got my corn dog lightly coated in sugar which was perfect. My friend didn't think the employees would dunk hers so much but hers was covered in it. We both orders the mozzarella and hot dog one and loved it.

Also fair warning there is not seating inside the restaurant. There is only outside seating.

I will definitely be coming back. I would recommend going at a slower time if you want to avoid the line and heat but I am hoping they are able to fix the air conditioning of...

I've been watching the corndog queen herself, Trisha, eat these for yrs. A few yrs back I looked and nothing remotely close popped up. I tried again not long ago and i found quite a few more of these than I thought I would. I tried here first. The pics give it a very american feel. Inside didn't wow me much, apart from the menu. I recall a video but you can't hear anything and it's off in the corner. I was going to just record the action, as they politely ask not to record their face, i felt too sheepish to try. It's very loud, plain and narrow in there. It has a freshly opened feel to it, once you're there. As for the food, it's quite obscure. The "combo" doesn't come with a fry. I think it's written somewhere but this is what I get for waiting a month before reviewing. At the very least, i remember it being confused while waiting for my fries. She said it didn't come with it or something to the effect. We had the corndog, the rice cake and the dog we came for, the cheese dog (with potatoes. The pull did not disappoint. I recommend seeing if the sauces can be put on the side because the ketchup really ruined it for me. My daughter didn't like the hotdog and, after trying it myself, if you're stuck between that and something else...well taste is relative so try it if you'd like to. The novelty of it all has been satiated. I, personally, don't need 2 cheese...

It seems like lots of people are enjoying Cruncheese, but I will not be going back. This is just my experience, and it may even be my fault, but I'm still upset about it.

I got there, only to find there is no AC. None. So its literally 95º inside. It's unbearable. So you wait. It's chaos. No idea who's waiting to order and who's waiting for food. So we get up to the register, I order, then my son, then my daughter, then my wife. We wait in the heat for nearly 20 minutes. Family went outside because it's literally cooler outside than inside. That's how hot inside was.

​Finally, it's ready. And they don't have my wife's. It's just not there. I pull the receipt - they never rang it up. And there's no response from them - just a blank stare. So what did I have to do? You guessed it. Back of the line, chump.

Everyone else ate in the car because it's so hot outside too. I turned around and got right back in line.

I finally order a second time, and then just stand there sweating and waiting...again. I finally get hers, 30 minutes after the rest of ours. They didn't move us up, they didn't cook hers faster. They just didn't ring it up and didn't make it. I guess I'm the dummy for not inspecting the receipt.

My verdict is - it's fun and different and they're doing a ton of business, but it's not worth the heat and the wait. And yeah, that was a bad...
