Joury Oviedo Ice Cream & Cafe — Restaurant in Alafaya

My husband and I have now been here a couple of times. Our first visit was a few weeks ago. We went to dinner in Oviedo at Giovanni's next door, and on our way out, we happened to notice this ice cream shop and decided to give it a try. Our first visit was great. The owner showed us around the menu, gave recommendations what paired well together, and what we should try. We got a couple of small cups, I the mint moose tracks and my husband the smurf. Silly childhood flavors we've always loved, and we were happy to find out they were made quite well, very tasty. We even got a little coupon for a free mini cup for when we came back.

So fast forward to tonight, we stopped by on our way home from getting groceries. (Um we're grown adults, that make our own adult money, absolutely we got ice cream BEFORE eating dinner) We were thinking how ice cream just sounded like a great idea and this gives us a chance to stop by again. We got in and shared what I believe was called the Caramel Banana crunch sundae? And for our free mini cup, we tried the garbage can flavor.

Both were delicious. My the sundae is like a blast from the past of tasty homemade banana pudding. Just with a caramel, graham cracker crumble twist. And the fresh banana slices really brought it together for me, at least. We loved it. The mini cup of garbage can was tasty! It's like a cream/simple vanilla ice cream but with crumbles of snickers and other candy bars mixed in. It's incredibly simple, but it really hit that sweet spot. When you can't make up your mind if you want a candy bar or a little snack of ice cream, porque no los dos!

We honestly can't wait to come back and try some crepes and bubble waffles, and bring our dog! They have a couple little pup cup options!

** The reason I put only 4 stars for service was, with, of course, cold ice cream it's a bit tough.. the plastic spoon are very bendy and they could stand to be a bit of a sturdier brand perhaps? But not that big of a deal! We can't wait...
