Kura offers an exciting sushi experience complete with a beverage robot, gamification, touchscreen ordering system, and, of course, revolving conveyor belt.
We checked in on the touchscreen kiosk to join the waitlist and were seated only a few minutes later. They ask people to wait outside due to space constraints, but with the Florida heat and no shade provided outside, many people chose to stand inside to wait anyway.
The host who seated us was very friendly and gave us a walkthrough of their system. You can either grab plates from the revolving conveyor belt or use the touchscreen to make custom orders. When you finish the dish, you place the plate in a slot, and the system counts the number of finished plates. After there are little animations that play after every 5. At 15 and 25, you get a little plastic toy prize that contains an acrylic clip charm. It’s pretty silly but admittedly also fun to be rewarded for eating more 😂
We primarily chose nigiri plates, and everything we tried was really great quality for what’s essentially a fast food style of preparation. The salmon toro and Hokkaido scallop were my favorite. Other dishes we really enjoyed included the yellowtail, sea bream, negitoro, crab gunkan, crispy rice with crab, and seared beef. One of the most impressive aspects of the menu is that all of the crab dishes use real snow crab rather than kani. The only thing we tried that I would not order again was the garlic ponzu sashimi. The sauce tasted great, but the fish was not cut into neat cubes like what’s displayed on the menu. Instead, it was really small randomly sized pieces that seemed like they might be the discarded pieces from preparing the other nigiri cuts, which was a little off-putting. Their desserts finish off the meal nicely. The gooey butter cake and yuzu honey cheesecake were the stars. The black sesame mochi was nice texture, just not very sweet—more of a palate cleanser. The taiyaki came out piping hot, but it had a bit of an old oil taste to it.
The one issue we had was with menu availability. The whole time we were there, a few “Kura Reserve” items revolved around with empty trays that were never filled. We waited so long hoping they’d be filled. Eventually we called over a server who told us that they were sold out. It would’ve been helpful for them to remove the signs for those items or even notified us when we were seated that those items were sold out. It felt like those signs & empty trays were taunting us the whole time!
It was very easy to order drinks, and it was fun to have the robot come down to serve them. We really liked how convenient it was to pay using the touchscreen when we were finished. It’s really the perfect place for introverts! With the convenience, quality, and novelty of the experience, we’ll...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at an exceptional sushi restaurant that employs a conveyor belt system, and the entire experience was truly remarkable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a vibrant and bustling atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal.
The conveyor belt, which elegantly wove its way through the restaurant, provided a dynamic and engaging way to sample a diverse array of sushi dishes. Each plate that floated by was a testament to the chef's artistry, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and inventive combinations that delighted our taste buds.
What truly set this restaurant apart was the exceptional level of service we received. The staff was not only attentive but also went out of their way to ensure that our family had a fantastic time. Their warm and friendly demeanor created a welcoming environment, and they were quick to accommodate any requests we had, making us feel valued and cared for throughout our visit.
Adding to the lively ambiance was the General Manager, who brought an extra layer of fun to our dining experience. Their playful and charismatic personality infused the room with a joyful energy, and their interactions with guests were both humorous and engaging. The General Manager's antics were a highlight of the evening, turning what could have been a simple dinner into an unforgettable event.
The atmosphere was further enhanced by the enthusiastic energy coming from the kitchen. The staff behind the scenes were remarkably vocal, their spirited shouts and cheerful banter creating an infectious buzz that added to the overall excitement of the dining experience. Their lively interactions, although loud, were a positive and exhilarating part of the meal, reflecting the passion and teamwork that went into each dish.
In summary, this sushi restaurant offers much more than just a meal—it provides a full sensory experience. The innovative conveyor belt system, the delectable sushi, the exceptional service from both the front-of-house and kitchen staff, and the General Manager's charismatic presence all contribute to a dining experience that is both enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun, engaging, and top-quality sushi outing. ALSO VERRYYY CLEAN!...

I went around 1:30–2:00 PM, and it wasn’t busy at all, which was perfect. If you're someone who prefers a quieter environment without the rush, I highly recommend going solo or in a small group during lunchtime.
The staff greeted me warmly and were super kind. Since it was my first time, they explained how everything worked, sat me down, and from there I was ready to dive in. Watching the sushi go by on the belt was such a fun experience—and some of the dishes were absolutely delicious. I could definitely see myself coming back just to chill and enjoy the atmosphere again.
One downside: I was really looking forward to trying the wagyu beef plate I saw on the menu, but unfortunately it never made its way to the belt while I was there. That was a bit disappointing.
Now, for those going solo—just a heads-up on price. I have a small appetite and only had 7 sushi plates, but my total still came out to over $33. I’d seen others mention spending around $25, so it caught me off guard a bit. It’s not super budget-friendly (3.90 a plate ) racks up fats hahah, especially if you’re just trying to try a few things.
That said, I really loved how the whole place is set up for convenience and minimal interaction (in the best way). Everything is on the screen in front of you: you can order drinks, sides, and more. There’s even a little robot that delivers certain items directly to your table—super cute and efficient. Staff still check in to make sure you're okay, but it’s all very hands-off, which I appreciated.
My favorite part? Self-checkout through your phone. It’s perfect for someone who just wants to eat, relax, and leave without any hassle. That aspect really made the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, the food was tasty, the vibe was great, and the tech-forward setup really made it a unique and comfortable dining experience. I'd definitely recommend it—especially if you're going solo and want...
