I can't just give such a rave 5 star review to a chain because it just isn't in those type of brands. Frankly, I am one of those local guides who prefers to tell the truth instead of being guilty of 'attempted glimmering' - the amateur anathma as it were.
This location, while quite clean and professionally run, is simply professionally cheap. I ordered a burrito, and got mostly rice, less than a serving of beans and even less beef.
That rice burrito plus a large soda cost me just shy of 14 dollars.
They know what they are doing at this location, unless you are willing to ignore the sage old advice that there is 'no fool like an old fool.'
They shorten the portions of the expensive ingredients to benefit their bottom line -- in other words, honor the age old tradition of small food operations (for the most part, not entirely) of not outright ripping off the customer, but really shaving the value as low as they can go before getting to that point.
This rice burrito of course, has a crud flavor profile, and it is not beyond the cheapness of a franchise owner to switch out cheaper cuts of meat and over season them to overwhelm the discerning palate, which a lot of people have in violation of their franchise agreement because they know the parent company won't spend the money for secret shoppers as long as there are no complaints. Why care when it is only disappointment instead of complaints.
Fortunately, I have a degree in Food & Beverage Management and was a National Recipe Contest Winner when I lived in Hollywood early in my entertainment career. I know the difference, now so do you.
Because you deserve the truth, even if it hurts a little sometimes.
And that is one of the steps to stardom, my friend. Don't live a lie.
And don't buy at this location unless you have no other choice.
Cheap is not a flavor profile enhancer, and is more properly a slap in the face of the...

Read moreThe burritos are pretty good and the ingredients taste fresh but twice when I've ordered guacamole, they've forgotten to put it on. It happened again today but of course I didn't realize until I made it all the way back home. When I called back, the person who answered the phone offered to give me the guacamole on the side if I came back in. Seriously? I've already paid for the guacamole, so yes this would be the very LEAST you should do! The manager wasn't in the restaurant, but they offered to call to see if there was something more they could do (note, this was after I pressed). When I talked to her again, she said they could offer a new burrito. This was what I expected initially, so even if it took effort at least they decided to make...
