Anytime Fitness — Local services in Alameda

For $50 a month, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and basic maintenance. Unfortunately, this gym consistently falls short. The restroom facilities and floors are often in unacceptable condition dirty, stained, and clearly not cleaned regularly. Despite claims that they clean after each use, that’s simply not true based on what I’ve seen. It's common to find pubic hair, no toilet paper, and visible dirt or buildup throughout the restrooms. There’s rarely anyone at the front desk when I arrive in the afternoon, which makes it hard to report issues or ask questions. There’s also no proper air conditioning just a few fans scattered around the building and the air ducts are caked with thick layers of dust, which raises serious concerns about air quality. It’s frustrating to be paying this much for a facility that doesn't meet even basic hygiene and maintenance standards. I’m not sure why more people haven’t spoken up, but this needs to...

If I didn't cancel my membership in fact, they were keeping charge me again and again never end. Great gym. The better of the two locations in Alameda. I was looking for somewhere that was open late since some days I'm only able to workout late in the evening. Has all the basics you need. Not a whole lot of frills but who needs to that to get a good workout. I haven't yet experienced a super busy time which is great. The areas are split up into weights and cardio. Encouraging messages posted on the walls all around. They already have 1 new piece of equipment since I joined. Staff and gym member are friendly. Day use lockers available for your stuff.
