We arrived and my husband secured a lunch table on the patio he came to the car to help me and in the few seconds it took us to get from the car to the table as a Hostess was removing our menus I asked her if we were still allowed to sit here she ignored me and I had to scream at the top of my lungs two or three times and she ignored me and then I said excuse me in a very obnoxious loud tone and she said WHAT and not "how can I help you" she said "what what" I said are we allowed to sit here and she said what again and my husband told her those menus were placed there for us I went to the car to get my wife and she grudging put them in his back on the table and left. We didn't like that jade us and my husband pulled out my chair for me and if you weigh more than 6 lbs you will not fit in these chairs they are made for straight Anglo women with no curves. Needless to say I sat in the chair and injured a modicum of pain for my entire meal my Coo Coo Ca Choo was Numb by the end of the meal from how tight the chair was against my body but onto the meal. the queso fundifo was impressive and luxurious served with homemade corn and white tortillas. Our mildly friendly waitress was soon replaced buy a BEAUTIFUL PETITE FRIENDLY RUTH who herself has her own opinions on good Mexican food. I ordered the chicken enchiladas Verde lunch special and my husband ordered the pollo cilantro o Chipotle. My husband ordered refried beans which proceeded to have no flavor. I ordered a lot of beans which subsequently had no flavor. The rice was dry and needed copious amounts of salt my husband's chicken have not been grilled nor marinated it was just a plain white unseasoned chicken breast covered with two sauces. My chicken enchiladas where filled with guiso de pollo that it had more of a water flavor and the green sauce with exceptionally mild borderline no flavor to the point where my husband and I agree that that's a salt shaker should be removed from the table or we would just be eating plates of salt. someone needs to talk to the folks and let them know that salt and pepper are not seasonings but they should be used as a basic standard in cooking. THE FOOD WAS ALSO SERVED ICE COLD.. in the heart of Alamo Heights we must consider that possibly the food had no flavor to cater to Anglo people who cannot tolerate or seasonings or spice AKA flavor. We were not given our tortillas that came with our entrees but the tortillas that came with our queso fundido were FANTASTIC. Mild salsa on the table was plain and unimpressive the roasted salsa had an after kick to it that didn't hit you until a few seconds after you consumed it and we loved it the most and the chips were warm and in abundance. We did not stay for dessert as I cannot stand mexican chocolate or flan but I can only assume that the Mexican chocolate brownie which is baked by Bird bakery was probably about the only thing on the dessert menu done correctly. The food and atmosphere were bar none. The cocktails consisted of house crafted margaritas and shots- Casamigos Añejo shots was $18 each. they have 2 different types of Patron-a regular and a grand reserve. Unfortunately, will not be back to try...

5800 Broadway #300, San Antonio, TX 78209
This has been a spot that we enjoy.
Onto my Ratings - Day of:
HOUSE MARGARITA (8): These babies are very good! Go great on the rocks with Tajin and Squeezed Limes. Three may make you tipsy. One if you're my wife. 😆
GUACAMOLE OLMECA Prepared Tableside - (9.5): Hass avocado mixed with onion, cilantro, tomato, lime, and orange juice, seasoned with salt and pepper, then topped with chilitos toreados. It is prepared and served in a HEAVY DUTY molcajete! ❤️ it!
CRISPY BEEF TACO PLATE (7): Now these were good, however, the shells were very soggy.
CHILE RELLENO - TRADITIONAL DE CARNE (8): Poblano pepper filled with ground beef, potatoes, and queso Monterrey. Battered, then lightly fried and covered with Salsa Española.
This was very good, flavorful, and probably one of their better plates.
ENCHILADAS VERDES (8) Two cheese or chicken enchiladas covered in our tangy tomatillo sauce, melted queso Monterrey, and topped with sour cream. Served with guacamole.
Let me put it this way... My daughter licked the plate. No seriously, I wish I was lying.
REFRIED BEANS (8): Creamy and fresh. Very flavorful, especially when scooped up with fresh Tortillas.
CHARRO BEANS (7): Not too bad. LUPE TORTILLAS blows these out of the boiling water.
SPANISH RICE (8): Very soft, light, flavorful, and worth taking home with the refried beans.
CHIPS (7): These were not bad. Prefer the fluffy kind like GARCIA'S Mexican Restaurant. They did their job.
RED SALSA (7): This was not bad, but seemed bland.
ROASTED SALSA (8): This was better than the red salsa. It tasted like it had more of a depth in flavor.
FLOUR TORTILLAS (8.5): Thick and Soft. Great with butter. Yes, I wrote it! BUTTER!
SODAS - FOUNTAIN (7.5): These were fine as long as they didn't have too much ice to water them down.
SODAS - BOTTLED (9.5): Can't go wrong, but it can be costly on the refills.
ICE (9): Tasted clean and fresh with no bad aftertaste.
ATMOSPHERE (9): This is a great location with warm decor inside and outside. Fans when it's warm and Heaters when it's cool outside.
SERVICE (8): Is usually on point. There will be pickle and dime moments, but they are pretty attentive. Super friendly at the close of the ticket.
OVERALL (8): This is a place where we've met friends. Great atmosphere and will be returning as usual.
