Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Alamo Heights

So this is about the Alamo Heights location. There was some confusion with our drinks. Our drinks were charged and printed correctly, but made incorrectly.

Since there were quite a few people there, I leaned over to discreetly tell one of the girls it was wrong. I guess that was offensive to them. I do give them props for fixing it on the spot, but I don't appreciate how they made us feel with the attitude. It felt so uncomfortable that we left instead of enjoying our little break there as we had planned.

When we got to the car, that's when I found out that my drink had been double sealed. Only my drink. I had to use my pen to poke through because my straw got bent up trying. I would have gone to get another straw, but they made us feel like we had to leave with the overly passive-aggressive handoff. I admit it that got to me, but unlike those two, we had places to be. In the end, we just brushed it off, and we went on about our date.

As someone who worked as a barista, I get how annoying it is when a customer complains about something being wrong. I do, but if you drop the attitude toward a customer who is trying not to make a scene, you won't have to go out of your way to be a jerk.

I wish you guys the best, but I will go out of my way to not go back to this location again. I love Kung Fu Tea, but this location was just horrible. You guys made it so...

I’ve tried Thai milk tea without boba for my first time at another location before and it was delicious! So I had high hopes when I found this place close by and decided to give it a try. when I first walked in the front cashier already gave me a vibe that she didn’t want to be working right now, I mean I get the place just opened but she literally looked so unhappy and as I asked questions about options and flavors since I was new to the boba world she wasn’t much help so I decided to get a Thai milk tea with boba. I was so excited to try Thai tea with boba for my first time but when she gave me the drink it looked more like a watered down coffee with milk and when I went in for the first sip it was so BITTER that It caught me by surprise and I’m usually not a picky person but this drink was bad I couldn’t even get through half and I tried hard to finish it to get my moneys worth lol but it just didn’t taste anything like a Thai milk tea and my friend who is a boba lover agreed that it didn’t taste good. I’m not sure if the girl made it correctly but I wish I would have had a better experience here cause this boba was so funky and not the usual Thai tea color? More of a chocolate milk color. Went here for the first time with my family. There were a few people ahead of us. Ordered 6 drinks for $34 plus a $6 tip at 1:38 4/16/23 on the self serve kiosk. 45 minutes later, only a few drinks had come out. There were still people ahead of us who hadn’t gotten their order. We asked to cancel and refund our order and the girl didn’t know how. A second employee had just come on and she didn’t know how either, so we left without our order or our money back. I want to say that I only only saw maybe 4 drinks come out in the time we were there. We simply could not sit there waiting for over an hour for drinks. The staff was very unfriendly, but I think she was incredibly overwhelmed, so I can’t really blame her.
