Alaska Taste of Thai had a great selection of items in the menu which consisted of curries, fried rice, soups and thai specialities. You can customize the proteins in most of the dishes by your choice. We found many vegetarian items which was helpful. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by their smile and warmth. They had a great selection of wine and beer in the menu including the famous Thai Singha beer. The fried tofu appetizer that came with the tasty peanut sauce was awesome. For our kids, we ordered the pineapple fried rice. The adults in our group went with yellow and green curry. Most items can be tuned to your spicy level. We were also provided with an array of spicy sauces and powder to help ourselves. The restaurant had a great ambience which made us felt being in Thailand. There is plenty of parking before the restaurant. They are very welcoming in their service. Throughout the time, they kept checking on us to help with anything we needed. Overall, this is the best of Thai restaurants in Anchorage.

From the outside, I wasn't expecting anything much, but when we walked in, I was taken aback by how beautiful the restaurant is inside. The fresh flowers on each table really caught my eye! As did the exquisite aesthetic of the whole restaurant. The food was superb!!! The Thai tea, sticky rice & Drunken Noodles were on point!!! The best part was that you could tell the noodles were house made. The Tom Kha soup was to die for!!! The fresh fruit drinks are basically smoothies, which are so refreshing and not overly sweet. The pumpkin custard was a unique desert choice I just had to try! It was really tastey, though the pumpkin is definitely pronounced, so I would only recommend it to those who truly appreciate pumpkin. Our waiter was pleasant, cordial, and friendly. The prices were about average in comparison with other restaurants of similar type fare. Definitely a place I want to come back to!!!

Wonderful little tucked away spot for Thai in Anchorage. There is no shortage of incredible Thai in this town and this is a place I would highly recommend on the South end. The menu has a very nice sampling of lunch specials. I opted for the Spicy Wide Noodles, which were excellent. The restaurant is immaculate and the decor and music all contribute to the overall atmosphere. All of their art pieces were purchased and shipped over from Thailand. I’m not sure there can be a bad Thai Iced Tea but I really enjoyed their blend, it wasn’t overly sweetened which helped me to enjoy the flavor of the tea. The staff here is phenomenal, so friendly. They are right near the Subway Rink, so plan to go before or after your game. Also, Goodwill has a donation Xpress center right next door so bring items. They’re open between 10:00-7:00 (closed for a half hour at 2:30 for lunch).

3 years back I used to pick up lunch to go frequently and share it with my sister. We would order the pad Thai lunch special that came with rice and an egg roll. Their pad Thai was so delicious! However, after a few months we noticed the portions started getting smaller and the prices were starting to go up. Eventually they stopped including the rice and egg roll in the pad Thai lunch special, yet the price didn't change. In face it went up a dollar. Before were the portions were decent and included rice and an eggroll, my sister and I could share the dish and be content. We wouldn't be so full that we were busting at the seams, but we were full enough to be content and not hungry. After they decreased the portion size and dis-included the rice and egg roll, we would both be starving after finishing the small portion of pad Thai and as a result have stopped ordering fro here. The customer service is ok, but I personally would not pay a high end price for a dish that wouldn't even fill just myself up. Too bad because their food is very tasty but I can go elsewhere for better prices and just of and food...

Overly priced. And when someone says they're allergic to something you should really be cautious and make sure there's nothing of what they're allergic to in their dish. The guy said there were no mushrooms when there clearly was. After some arguing back and forth about the mushrooms he finally saw the pile of mushrooms I had dug out the dish. But you know what's really crazy? The guy asked if my lips started to tingle and I had said yes. My throat also feels tight and his response was that sort of a cringe. Not even a "sorry"or "are you alright?"! The waitress offered to make another meal and I was charged for both meals. Yes, the one that I could not even eat, I still had to pay for that. We weren't even checked on during our visit, I had to try and stop and communicate with the waitress. My S/O and I really had some expectations for this restaurant and it just crashed and burned to the ground. Will NEVER come back to this place. Good thing I didn't die or anything! Hopefully they'll be careful for the...
