Thought I’d give IHOP a chance to redeem itself after avoiding the place for several years. Past impression was it was going downhill in areas of quality of customer service and quality of food. This time I ordered the Sr (55+) Rise-N-Shine Breakfast for $8.99. Wait time for my order was sort of on time. But when my order arrived food was room temperature at best. Seemed dry, like it might have been sitting out somewhere other than under a heat lamp. My server (Carina V) seemed noticeably detached from the task at hand . . . no personality at all . . . a bit slovenly. Her attitude was “I’m doing you a favor, mister”. This place needs a management overhaul. I give up. Won’t be going back . . . ever.
7/31/2018 - Thought I’d give IHOP another chance to redeem itself after avoiding the place for the last year. Past impression was it was going downhill in areas of customer service and quality of food. You would think that by this time this popular national restaurant chain would have its act together. The guy who greeted me at the cashier station also took my order. I ordered a classic breakfast from their menu for $8.99. The 55+ Rise-N-Shine menu item included scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. Wait time for meal to arrive seemed long, although I didn’t have my timer on. It was finally served by a waitress who I was seeing for the first time. As soon as I saw fried eggs on my plate I told her I had ordered scrambled eggs. She took the main plate away but left the plate of toast. I waited again with only my glass of water and toast . . . but no jam . . . and continued reading my newspaper. She finally returned with the correct order. Toast, hash browns and bacon were now at room temperature. I asked for some jam. Then I noted the plate was pooled with cooking oil and the bacon was totally soggy with oil . . . perhaps the result of their failed attempt to keep the bacon warm by dipping it in hot oil. Yuck! I plodded on and finally finished. They never brought a charge slip to the table, so I headed toward the cashier’s counter to pay. Another guy who was now manning the register couldn’t get a receipt to print and had to call in another employee to help. I finally got out of there in one piece. This place needs a management overhaul. Amateurism everywhere. Learn what customer service is all about. Details matter! Get the basics down before you venture into boutique burgers. I give up...
Read moreBy far the worst encounter I've had with an IHOP establishment. The order was placed online with the mobile app, but the entire order was wrong and very poor quality. The orange juices were nearly pure water with no flavor whatsoever. In addition, the omelet was an unpresentable platter of mess with no care taken. The melt was not cooked all the way and was not even placed in the container in a semi presentable manner. The hashbrowns were undercooked and still cold in the middle even though they were ordered crispy. Disgusting. The funny face pancakes were mashed into the containers, totally unacceptable, even to a child who was looking forward to it.
After returning to the restaurant, the refund process took nearly 20 minutes. While waiting, my wife, kids, and I noticed a cook on the line wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a Mario Nintendo character expressing the middle finger. My kids saw this, and asked why was Mario flipping people off.
This is poor behavior, poor supervision, poor management, poor food quality, and should be thoroughly reviewed by district or corporate as applicable. Maybe even the municipal health inspector. I do have photos of the food and the employee with the awful attire and am willing to provide them to support this complaint.

Read moreDO NOT ATTEMPT! Worst experience at a restaurant I have ever experienced. I've had better service dining in at the arches. First, we waited for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. When my husband asked if there was anyone working up front to seat us, he was given a scoff while she held up a finger saying "yeah, be right there." When we were taken around to be seated, there were only two other parties/tables in the whole restaurant. After 45 minutes, our kids food arrived but my husband and I were told they ran out of the French toast batter...(but let's not talk about the fact that it's just milk and eggs because obviously that would have been too easy). AFTER half our table had food you decided to say something. So what? We can wait another 45 minutes for our food with two small children (4 &5) who are now done eating and ready to leave? We asked to speak to a manager, were told that they were outside shoveling. After another 20 minutes, and zero managers later, we were told "the manager just paid for your food. Your all set." There was nobody outside shoveling when we left. Great way to ruin a day. My husband and I left hungry and furious. Thanks for comping our kids meals (who eat free...
