College Town Pizzeria — Restaurant in Alaska

The food here is fantastic, but what really makes College Town Pizzeria special is the people who work there. We were tourists, but they treated us so kindly anyway, as though we were dear friends. The owner and the staff continuously came over to chat with us about our travels and to give much appreciated suggestions. The owner even went so far as to show us pictures of his last staff trip to Denali, which was wonderful. While we were eating there, my group experienced a small crisis with our Airbnb accommodations. The staff of College Town Pizzeria let us stay at our table while we worked it out, and even came over several times to check on us, make sure we were okay, and commiserate. We walked away from there feeling like we had made wonderful friends. Throw in their incredible pizza, fantastic calzones, and house made salad dressing, and you’ve got yourself a winner. I’d go back to Fairbanks solely to eat...

I’ve been coming to this place for 20+ years. When I was a kid it was the best! Cool college vibes- board games and coloring books! It’s a really great family place! They also serve alcohol which we love! New norms to grandparent this pace is definitely a hidden gem! Lots of locals and everyone welcome!

Sadly covid hit and we stopped eating anywhere! Fast forward to yesterday 2024 and I happen to crave that good old artichoke heart pizza… stopped in and the smells brought me back to childhood eating here. It was a great experience to share with my little 4year old although he wasn’t as choked up as I was 😂 anyhow I went with a calzone instead stuffed with my choice of spinach, mushrooms, onions and ricotta… damn it was delicious as always!

This place is still great. Not sure who owns the place now but it’s a solid from our family and we will for sure shop local more often especially on...

Came in to get some pizza after work and were greeted as soon as we walked through the door, the service was fantastic, we ordered the Spicy pepperoni and after we had inhaled half of the pie, the owner Stopped at our table and asked us if we were enjoying everything. The owner introduced himself, the owner Chase took a seat and asked for our honest opinion on the pizza so imma give it to you all as well: Thin crust style pizza with the perfect blend of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Also unbelievably reasonably priced. This is the best pizza I’ve had in Fairbanks. Chase purchased the place back in December of 2022, so if you have a jaded view from past experiences just shut up and come get a slice, you will not be disappointed.
