We have eaten here and enjoyed it but today the service was slow & inaccurate, The waitress said she knew what we were ordering and repeated it back to us, there was a special on the board 1 piece of King Crab, $3. We pointed to theboard confimed the price, commented on the price, of the Appetizer. I figured it wouldn't be very big but hey. We ordered about 15 minutes after we arrived, 3 appetizers (1 as appetizer, other 2 crab as entree, 1 entree) and 1 kids meal 30 minutes later the entree comes, they were busy so we waited a while and asked about our food, they had the rest of the order on the computerized ticket, but we hadn't gotten it. 15 minutes later we got the first crab appetizer,it was pretty big we were thinking wow, they needed to use it up, or got a great buy. Now we'be been here an hour and 3 year old isn't eating crab or whatever Japanese sushi, my hubby ordered. So I ask again about our food, again with the ticket, confirming what we are missing. 15 minutes later the appetizer arrived, 4 king crab cream cheese wontons, that my daughter would eat the corners of the crust. 25 minutes later, kids meal arrives and second crab appetizer. I ordered this one because it was "pan fried" with ginger and garlic. I thaught that mean it would be out of the shell, nope pain fried in the shell, what? Any how the food however long it took to get there was good. Until the bill arrived, a gentleman took the time to explain, 1st crab app, promo price $21.99, second one $29. Apparently someone messed with the specials board. But it did say $3 for 1 piece king crab. The waitress had since left, we had been there so long most people were gone. The bill was $104 it should have been $62. He saw the board, he hired the English as a second language waitress, he knew it was their error, and choose to do nothing about it. Even when my husband explained having honored a price for their employee, at his work, because it was the right thing to do, a difference of several thousand dollars. We won't be going back. They had a chance to...
Read moreI am trying out all the sushi restaurants in town. So far I didn't really have much good impression from others so I tried this place after reading some good reviews. I don't know.. maybe my expectation is too high. I am from a huge city where you can see excellent quality, yet affordable sushi places every corner of the street I really miss good sushi.. we ordered sushi and sashimi boat for 2 people, it looked amazing but taste wasn't as good. It's not bad but The way they age fish for sushi is just not my style.. not much flavor, not too fishy, but really not much flavor. After a few bites, I got pretty tired of it, couldn't eat more even tho there were all different kinds, it didn't taste different or flavorful.. even tho i'mm eating different kind, it tasted like same thing repeat, not satisfying for the price. People were super super friendly ,nice and polite so I feel bad that I'm leaving a negative review. My boyfriend who's from here liked it so I guess it's good for fairbanks quality. we'll come again to try other items :) cabbage salad, miso soup was great. Maybe I try rolls...
Read moreI really like Fuji. Dine in and take out orders come fast. I've had several kinds of sushi and appetizers here. I saw someone left a bad review about the Boba several months ago. Last time I got it they did give me a Boba straw and it was a very good Strawberry Boba. They actually called to tell me they were out of taro, which was no big deal. I had never tried Strawberry so it was kind of a good thing. I can splurge here on date night with the special rolls or when I still want to eat out on a budget they have many bento boxes and dinner boxes for cheaper and you get A LOT of food with those. I notice that they don't use peeled shrimp. It's something that I wasn't used to, but I've actually grown to like the added texture and flavor. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. The staff is very kind. Oh and try the...
