Ate here on 9/1/21 later at night. Service was great up until we ordered some "Amazing Tacos" to go for a friend. After ending up at our friend's house we only had chips and salsa in the bag. We ended up making another trip back to the restaurant, which was out of the way, to collect what had already been paid for ("Amazing Tacos"). Respect to the manager for backing up his employee and offering to rectify the situation. However, after speaking with the waitress who assisted us, she was condescending and insinuated we lied about receiving the tacos and claimed "karma" would get us even though it probably cost more in time and gas to even return back to the restaurant. I have probably spent $2000-3000 ordering from the Eagle River location because I support local businesses but the waitresses attitude was totally uncalled for. I (we) have zero reason to lie about receiving tacos for $17 because the cost is negligible and irrelevant- I can afford to pay for what I do and do not receive. I will not dine here anymore and will not order any more food from Jalapenos as there are many other options that will not provide such rude service. I will also not recommend this specific restaurant to friends and family due to the discourtesy that was displayed during our visit(s). I would rate 0 stars but unfortunately that is...
Read moreDISGUSTING. As a semi-regular, I haven’t had any major issues here in the past. But I am extremely disappointed with my last dinner here, and their newest selection of employees. They must be scraping the bottom of the barrel. Their new bartender, a young man I have never seen before, forgot my margarita, I had to ask my server for it twice. (It’s a small restaurant, I knew who was at fault, on top of that it wasn’t even very busy it was the tail end of dinner) But this is not the reason for my bad review. I happened to go to the bathroom at the same time this young man was in and he dropped his NEEDLE on the bathroom floor! On top of this, he DID NOT wash his hands... Absolutely REPULSIVE... This man is supposed to be handling and making our drinks. When I paid, he was behind the bar and I noticed the track marks all over this man’s arms. How anyone else has been unable to tell (his management or the other employees) is beyond me, I noticed them immediately. Like I said, Jalapeños must be scraping the bottom of the barrel! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, BUT MOST OF ALL DISGUSTED! I don’t plan on coming back here anytime soon. I pray that they learn how to choose better employees. Jalapeños, if you care about your business at all, please contact me. I am more than happy to tell you what date and time that I...
Read moreWe hadn't been to this restaurant in quite a while (previously unimpressed), but since re-naming and, presumably, coming under new ownership it seemed worth a second chance. Boy, were we happy we did. The place was very busy and we expected a bit of a wait, especially with a party of five. That was not the case; we were seated within minutes and our drink order was taken just as quickly. The drinks arrived in short order too, giving us just enough time to go through their extensive menu options. By the way, the drinks were excellent (I had a mango Mojito). There was a little wait for the meals, but not extraordinarily long, but it was worth it. Their food was amazing! I had pan seared shrimp tacos with a slaw salad topping. It was well seasoned and tasty. The sizzling hot platter they were served on kept them hot until the last bite. The consensus of the table was that this may just be our new favorite Mexican restaurant in town. I highly...
