Soda & S'more — Restaurant in Alaska

First time stopping at this new coffee stand in Eagle River. There are so many excellent coffee stands in the area that I love but I wanted to support a new business effort. Let me tell you, I won’t have to up my coffee intake to become a regular here AND stay loyal to all my other favorites because they offer some unique items on the menu worth making a stop for. First...s’mores. Not kidding...drive thru gourmet s’mores. I tried the Hershey Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup version. It was a hard choice between that and the Ghiradelli options...I nearly ordered two. Sometimes I’m just in a peanut butter mood. Anyway, it was delicious and too tempting to eat warm to even stop and take a picture of it. They have a bakery in the stand, so they offer other in store baked sweet treats as well. They also have a wide selection of soda concoctions...something I’ve never seen at a coffee stand. I’m generally not a soda drinker but who doesn’t love a root beer float? I’ll give it a go next time. I usually love this place, and have recommended many people to go here. However, today I went there just for cookies and ordered drinks solely based on the fact that it was double punch Monday. I even asked the girl at the window if it was double punch day before I ordered. I ordered two 12 oz drinks and after I paid, got the drinks and was about to leave, she told me unfortunately they only punch on 16 oz drinks. I was so excited to try this place. While I will say the coffee was decent I was extremely disappointed in my experience. It took FOREVER to get my drink. I have never waited so long for a coffee before. Secondly I ordered a 20 oz white chocolate mocha with cookie dough syrup….$6.75?! I have never paid more than $4.75 for that exact coffee at any of the other shops in Eagle River. They charged for whipped cream…really? Who charges for whipped cream? None the less I unfortunately will not be returning...
