Spenard Joe's — Restaurant in Alaska

I stopped because of the great Google reviews, but I was very disappointed. The wait for one customer in front of me with one single beverage order was ridiculously long, something like 10 minutes. And there were two employees! What are they doing in there?

Then they got the price wrong, but that was because they got the order wrong. Then they got the price on the new order wrong.

To top it off, the coffee was not great. It wasn’t bad, but it was merely decent. An Americano. It was served too hot and just not very flavorful, probably the worst Americano I’ve had from a coffee hut...

A cute nicely painted (by Garett, on of thr owners) place. Thr staff is always friends and even if you don think coffee, they have many other options. They also have alternative milk options as well. I always have a vanilla Chai (sometime a dirty vanilla Chai with means they put shots of coffee in it). I have had a few of there food items as well. Spenard Joe's is so much more than the average coffee cart. Their drinks are gourmet and innovative, with options like Turmeric dirty Chai (my favorite) and Lavender honey lattes. You won't find any microwaved croissants here. Their sandwiches are artisanal status. The brekkie bagel and turkey sandwich are my go to's.
