Starbucks — Restaurant in Alaska

Dec 19th, approx 7:15pm I ordered a Venti Carmel frappuccino. When we got to the window my wife gave me her phone to pay with the app. Apparently, we were charged for a Grande, but I confirmed with my wife I had ordered a Venti at the window. When I told the barista, he said, "oh, you wanted a Venti," and took the drink back to the work station. After a moment, he came back with a Venti size drink.

Now that should be the end if the story, but on our way home, my wife said the drink had too much Carmel and it kept clogging her straw. After further inspection we realised that a large portion of the drink was strait Carmel. Apparently, the barista decided to pour the grande drink into a Venti cup and top it off with strait Carmel. I'll let you decide if that was appropriate behavior, but this will not be a Starbucks we'll be...

Dear franchise owner,

Starbucks is such a reliably uplifting cafe! But perhaps there is some attention to detail that has been overlooked the past few months. Most notably, there is trash on the floor. The trash goes beyond the thick dust on the windowsills. Considering there are more barista employees than guests at this location, I’m surprised that cleaning is not as emphasized. Our first two choices of drinks were not available. It’s ok. That can happen. We liked what we then ordered - BUT the straw was so thin, the cookie chunks couldn’t pass. No spoon was given. I was the one to let the staff know that the napkin dispenser was empty. Which is also fine, that happens.

It depends on the day. I have gotten various drinks here(caramel apple spice, Mocha, PSL, etc), multiple food items(banana nut loaf, chocolate croissant, or a cheese danish), and these all come out in a consistent- starbucks quality expectant manner. The staff are iffy. Some are very nice and very helpful, some don't seem to care or listen at all. The last time I went in study and went to the counter to order, the cashier really didn't seem to listen because I had to repeat my order 4 times and they kept repeating it back wrong. I know I can be quiet, but until then I have never had that issue-not cool. But for the most part, its consistent and the lighting is fantastic with a great view of...
