Subway — Restaurant in Alaska

Would’ve given zero rating if it was possible. An employee with a cap and beard walked in while we were waiting in line. Didn’t wash his hands. Just put on gloves and asked in a low voice what I’ve got to order. No greeting. Told him spicy Italian. My wife ordered right after me. He asked less than a minute later what I wanted. Told him again. He spoke in a low voice. It seemed apparent he didn’t want to be there. There was one other person in my party but she left to order from another food place. She later told me she didn’t like his attitude from the beginning and he didn’t wash his hands. He asked what we wanted on our sandwiches. My wife went first and became upset. He squeezed out too much mustard and roughly handled the add ons. My wife said something loudly to him. As he wrapped the sandwiches he kept mouthing something under his breath. There at my turn he asked if I was going to give him attitude. Then he proceeded to roughly handle my sandwich and almost literally smashed it into its wrapping. That’s when I told my wife and one other person that we’re leaving and we left. Never coming...

One star because I can't give zero. I was ignored for roughly over a minute with literally no line I was the only customer in line. The only people in there were I guess friends of the employees just chit-chatting away. The cashier who I assume is being trained so not going to go too hard on it I had to repeat what I had gotten three times. They were out of the brisk tea, lemonade, sweet tea and unsweetened iced tea and since I don't drink soda I had to get water. Then to top it all off as I was leaving the store all of their friends were still hanging around outside the front door and I had to walk through a plume of cigarette smoke. Unacceptable. I stopped going to Subway (2-3 times a week for almost 10 years) a while back when they raised their prices (to be fair EVERY OTHER fast food did too) roughly triple, I only started returning about 2 or 3 months ago (2-3 times a week again) when they introduced their $7.99/ 10$ for a foot...

The lady that served me was amazing i wish i knew her name but she worked Sunday night just before closing and she has short red hair and a lil older- anyways shes amazing and was so polite, helpful and fast. The bread was still fresh and the veggies were too. She was wonderful and friendly. The parking lot had a homeless man waiting for me to leave the store to ask me for lighter and I said no i didnt smoke and then he asked for money and I said i dont carry cash. So aside from that which the lady had nothing to do with. I just wish when the co worker mentioned him and said he was drinking that maybe he could have shooed him away for followed me out. Just my thoughts im still happy with the food which was perfect when we got home. But next time ill come with my husband if im going late...
