Pho Lena East — Restaurant in Alaska

I have had their pho here before multiple times in the past and never had issues, but I came tonight after work with my family, and the pho was so bland. I was in shock when they gave me the bowl, to see that the bowl was mostly empty, the meat looking very odd, and barely containing any noodles. I was so sad when I came to eating it, realizing it had absolutely no flavor, meat tasting very off as if it were like rubber material, and having to add lots of toppings and sauces to even get the slightest bit of flavor. Nothing though, tasted like faint dish water with tiniest bit of spice. I’m absolutely upset and disappointed. I tried asking for a refund, letting them know I felt. They only gave me a $1 discount. So now I’m hungry, and disgusted. The guy also refilled my Thai Tea with no charge, but didn’t bother...

Food was very sub-par. My soup order said it came with vermicelli noodles, but actually came with overcooked spaghetti noodles. My partner's dish had under-cooked broccoli, tasteless duck, and was in general very bland. We noticed as we were leaving that the soy sauce bottles had dead flies in them. Glad we didn't use that 🤮 I wish I could give zero stars.

EDIT 11/14/18: This establishment should be avoided if you are able. I would not go back, but my dining partner picked up some vegetarian options after a long day at work this evening. Upon getting home, they discovered that the vegetarian meal they ordered contained not one vegetable, and instead an abundance of gyoza stuffed with meat. This place can't even get basic ingredients right. I shudder to think what their sanitary practices are...

I’m only leaving one star cause there isn’t a zero star option…. Pho had only one tiny piece of meat mixed in with my spaghetti noodles in the flavorless broth water…. There were no vegetables (basil, carrots, sprouts, cilantro,etc) and no hoisin or hot sauce…. Just spaghetti noodles in chicken flavored bath water…

And the Bahn mi…. Well, if you want a hoagie roll with Mayo and not much else, this is your spot. Nothing about it resembled an actual bahn mi.
