I went in to this McDonald’s yesterday to get something to eat with some friends and when we received our order all three of our large fries were undercooked ( completely white zero of the signature golden brown McDonald’s is known for and cold in the middle and a bit of that gritty mushiness associated with thawed but uncooked fries) we took them back to the counter and the manager, shift lead , the young man in charge whatever his title is was kind of condescending in saying “ so you want us to make you a Whole new batch?” To which my friend replied “yes please and if it helps the process we’d like them extra crispy or we’ll done however that’s said.” His body language conveyed frustration and irritation with this request but he took the fries and said he’d bring out fresh ones when they’re done. After a few short minutes ( in my many many years of fast food service just barely enough time to drop new fries and have them complete the regular cook time without anything else being done including typical shake free of excess oil being tossed with salt and packaged up) he brings back fries in a to go bag with an excessive amount of napkins piled on top and they’re again completely white. I grab a couple of them and they’re barely lukewarm and they’re chewy and rubbery as stale fries tend to be and the one had the same exact amount missing as I had eaten from my carton from the first batch. This time I walked up myself hoping to appeal to him as a former fast food employee including this very McDonald’s when I was in high school ( not including the time I spent on the job site when my dad was putting in the original plumbing when the original building was being built) the cashier turned around to get his attention and when he looked over I began to explain that I didn’t know if something is wrong with the fryer or anything but in all my years of fast food and many years of working for different McDonald’s I have never had fries come out of the fryer cold and stale. Well I don’t think he heard a single word I said as he aggressively talked over me telling me No! that he’s not going to do anything about this the fries were made to order and we already brought those fries back and he’s not going to anything else about it. Every time I tried to speak after that he just got louder and repeated “ No, you already brought those back and I’m not doing anything else about it”
I’m not proud of this next part but frustrated and demoralized but the way this young man was treating us and he’s completely refusing to provide me with the edible fries I had paid for and actually paid extra for since I had paid for the large size meals and really actually not being able to eat these inedible undercooked and now also stale fries. I frustratedly tossed them on the floor behind the counter and walked away. I will absolutely not be going back there and despite everything else being fine I’m giving them a 1 star because zero stars is not an option and there’s nothing that can counter balance being treated so horribly by someone just because I am trying to get the food I already paid for in an...
Read moreI don't usually do this, but I think it needs to be said... The "manager in training" on Thursday august 9th is absolutely not respectful or professional at all. Her name was Anne and she yelled at every staff and most of the customers. She purposefully finished my order and let it sit for 10 additional minutes because I called her out and stood up for a customer and I heard her say "she needs to wait to learn some respect".
The staff did an exceptional job at keeping smiles on their face and being respectful even though they were being yelled at the entire time.
The scheduling manager should have extra staff on events night the staff should not have to put up with that.
Special shout out to the girl on front register, Elice! You kept a smile on your face and were so polite to everyone even while being yelled at and ridiculed over little things! You rock!
To the poor customer who waited THIRTY yes 30! Minutes for an ice cream cone!!!!! AFTER being denied pies because and I quote " it is too late and they take 16 minutes and I am just not dropping them" I hope you thoroughly enjoyed that cone!
Fast food is not always easy, no job really is all the time, no one should have to endure being treated and talked to by their manager that way! It makes me wanna call every one of my employees that I LEAD and manage in my line of work as home manager and tell them how much they are appreciated I would NEVER speak to my staff that way and if I had customers I would Defintley not speak to them that way. Read moreHorrible service through the drive thru in the mornings, I talked to Peggy yet she told me not to come back to this store again because two of her employees that I come to Peggy about their behavior issues and slow movements in orders making people wait in long lines in the drive thru. Today, I drive up and ordered when I pulled up to pay the guy that was rude another time that I didn't call corporate but talked to the manager Peggy. Peggy said she will handle it she also said that to the slow employee that was purposely taking her time taking orders in other words the people at this store doesn't know how to multi task. They can only do one thing at a time. Mind you, I was nice each time speaking about this matter to Peggy and then tells me not to come back because they can't make me happy. My goodness, I am happy I just want SERVICE with a smile not a mad person nor a slow person. Peggy choice to side with the lying employees her friends. Peggy needs to learn how to teach, train, and talk to her employees not refuse service to a long time shopper. This is my first time in my life this has ever happened and all I did was ask the manager for help. This store is horrible!!! Everything starts with the Management down, if you have a lazy corrupt manager than nothing is going to be done and nothing was done to them but for me they laughed. But, when Peggy refused to give her name, I didn't budge until she did and she eventually come back to the window telling me her name.
