Despite arriving around noon and experiencing a brief wait for a table, our patience was rewarded with a cozy spot by the window, adding to the charm of our dining experience.

The menu, though modest in size, offered a variety of enticing options. I indulged in a robust coffee, while my wife savored a rich mocha that left her thoroughly impressed. Our main dishes, the Huevos Rancheros for both of us, were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Additionally, the waffles with fruit and the crêpes Nutella and bananas were equally satisfying, leaving us eager to return and explore more of the menu.

As the lunch rush subsided around 12:30 pm, the restaurant transitioned into a quieter, more intimate setting, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a relaxed atmosphere. While the space felt snug, the upbeat ambiance added to the overall dining experience.

Wow! Blown away by the service and the food! Super friendly staff who all seemed eager to help me with my takeout order. Ordered two house coffees (organic and served in biodegradable cups and lids), French toast combo with scrambled eggs and bacon.

The french toast was perfect - lightly grilled to perfection while maintaining a soft and delicious center. It is also served with a cinnamon butter (I'm only guessing here as the butter was a welcome suprise in my togo container). The scrambled eggs were your basic scrambled eggs, but still delicious and the bacon was thick, crispy and super tasty. The coffee is great and a welcome partner while composing this review.

Overall, the place is great, and worth 5 stars. It's what you want when you go to a cafe and order breakfast. Not too crowded on an early Sunday morning (8 am), but it was filling up as I was leaving. The place is clean, inviting and the employees and food are fantastic. Great job Sunny Side Up Cafe! My cousin loves this spot and brought me along — now I see why! She swears by the eggs Benedict and says it never fails her. I had a bite and for my first time trying eggs Benedict, I genuinely enjoyed it too!

Her kids ordered the “mini pancakes,” which were definitely not mini 😅 but still super delicious. I got the breakfast sandwich, which was also really good — hearty and flavorful. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about were the potatoes; they could’ve used a bit more seasoning, but overall still a solid dish. The fruit on the side tasted super fresh, which I appreciated.

I also ordered the strawberry mimosa (my first mimosa ever!) and it definitely tasted “strong” to me — but that could just be because I’m not a mimosa drinker. Still glad I gave it a try!
